In fact, it looks more healed than last week. Doc wrapped foot in ace bandage and said I can use it for more support. (Ankle is still weak too.) I can do activities to tolerance and make sure I start out slowly. That could be a dangerous thing to tell me since my idea of tolerance is different than others. I have "worked through pain" more than I care to think about, especially before the surgery. I can go back to full Physical Therapy too.

Got a little more info on the doc using my case for her boards. She submitted 65 cases, over 30 of them were bunion surgeries, and the board picked my case for her to use. She is happy about it. I gave her lots of material!!

I still go back in 2 weeks. Then I will be

The bump you wrote about in your other post sounded ominous - very glad to hear it turned out to be nothing. And lucky for your doctor that you provided her with fodder for her case study.

Sounds like you need lessons in taking it easy, Grace! Sit down and put your feet up and have a cup of mint tea once in a while - it's really ok to do nothing every now and then!

Have a good one!

OK silly me, disregard my other post asking how you made out. I am at my parents here in Ronkonkoma and I am using their computer and its a different format than mine. Plus the print is smaller and I failed to bring my glasses along. Glad you are alright. Do yourself a favor and just becareful!

That bump on my foot developed when I was walking around for 4 weeks not knowing the bone had not fused. (Just before I was put back in the cast) It was the bone trying to fuse. I was glad to hear that it is now starting to retreat...it will be easier to get shoes! And, oh boy, I cannot wait to wear regular shoes.

That's good news, Grace! I'm doing a happy dance with you!

BTW, how are the Pilates classes going? I know a number dropped out because it wasn't ballet core, but have you gained some more participants?

Thankfully, I was only subbing the ballecore class. I am sure they are glad that the regular instructor is back. The other classes...my classes...seem to be doing ok. Just have to get them used to classical Pilates again. Still building up my confidence, but it is getting easier to remember what to do and in what sequence. Just have to get those roll ups and teasers to look a little easier for me.
