Hey Pattycakes!! I'm hogging the sun again. We had just an awesome day today. Lazed around this morning, then packed a lunch and headed off to our favourite park. It has been so close to perfect, I can even deal with "them" tonight!

We ate lunch and dh and I laid on the blanket in the sun having a great conversation while the boys had a blast playing in this tree that you could walk through. The smell of the flowers blooming was just exquisite. Then we headed off to the playground part of the park and hung out for a bit. When the kids tired of that, we headed off to the Children's Farm, which is a petting zoo. Our oldest, Adam, fell in love with the baby goats. They are only a few weeks old and the kids are encouraged to touch them and brush them. He didn't want to leave. There were about 4 other goats there ready to give birth any day, so we may return in a couple of weeks. From there we went to Clover Point which is a jetty that goes out into the ocean and we tried to get our kite airborne. Didn't have much success, but lots of fun. Then we took a stroll along the beach and collected yellow and peach coloured rocks for mommy!! Too much fun! I didn't want to leave. Dh and I agreed that this is going to be a beach year for us! The kid's are in heaven there.

And....I have my first sunburn of the year! Tomorrow, we are going back for more! The heck with housework! It will always be here! :)

Roast leg of lamb and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. A nice glass of Beaujolais! Does it get any better?

Thanks so much, Patty. You're such a caring person (and have such a good memory)!! Ever since Rob and Erin have started corresponding she's been on my mind so much more. The other night even though I watched a movie until 5 AM, she was on my mind a lot, and it upset me so much that it was close to 5:30 before I could get to sleep. Other times I do pretty well about it. The hardest part is not knowing -- not knowing what triggered the estrangement, not knowing how she's feeling now, and not knowing what's the best way to deal with it to make it better. I hate not understanding situations and feeling in limbo, but especially so about this.

I really do appreciate your kind thoughts.

Hugs,

Rhonda
