Good morning everyone!!Hope everyone enjoyed their day yesterday and their weekend.Michele, how was the family thing?Jazzerdeb, send some of that great weather this way!!!

What have you got planned for today, for this week?Do you have a fitness goal you want to meet?Maybe an extra day of weights or a longer cardio workout? Are you ready to take control of the food issue?Do you have a work goal for this week?Or have you decided to set aside some time to do something special for someone special, and yes that can be YOU!!Isn't it a fantastic feeling when we set and reach a goal?Don't ever underestimate yourself and all you are capable of.

A run and weights are on my list for fitness today.Food is going to be an issue I tackle this week.Time to get it under control!A couple more days with chickens and then this chick is looking at a couple days off.YAY!!!

Booty, thinking of you today.Sassy, six pounds off is awesome!!!Susan, hope you can get those tests done soon.

Have a great day gang!!

Hi, Patty. That will be nice to get some days off from the chicks! I need to get the eating under control myself.

Today will be busy. This week will be busy! The weather is awful in these parts so there may not be baseball practice. I won't count on it, though. I have one night off this week tonight & I'm sure I'll be toting the boys to practice & back. I was hoping the weather would be nice so I could walk my trail while they practiced. We'll see . . . Otherwise, I will do a 3 mi. walk tape.

Enjoy your Monday, ladies!

Morning everyone! Just waiting for my turn in the shower. I had a busy day yesterday but it was really great. My sister, from Conn was down for a visit, my parents came, as did my inlaws. All 3 of my kids were there and the 10 of us gathered around the table for a delious lamb dinner. I must say this cook out did herself yesterday.......lol. Everyone was gone around 8 and my parents took Katie home with them. She spent the night and is hanging out with my sister today while I work. The boys were in their rooms watching TV and Bill and I relaxed in the den with the TV and the fireplace. Nice night. My older son Billy surprised me in the afternoon by giving me a beautiful bunch of flowers, and by buying a plant for both his grandmothers..........gee and I was wondering if I raised him right.

Got up this morning at 5:50 and had a quiet cup of tea and turned on the washer and dryer. Did one batch and then woke Bill up for his coffee. At that point I put my sweats on and did my 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds Video. Bill is gone, Billy is in the shower and I am going to head upstairs to make my bed and lay out my work clothes. I asked Bill what he wanted for dinner and he said something lite! So I think its going to be a Chef Salad for dinner. I will pick up some cold cuts on my lunch hour. Nice and lite meal, and heaven knows I have enough hard boiled eggs.........lol.

I think my goal Patty is to get a walk in at least 3 mornings this week. If I can get that in I will feel better. I also have to get to the Bridal Shop and order the dress for my sisters wedding. Well everyone have a great day and hope your weather is nicer there then here!

Mornin'Everybody

Busy day yesterday and think I'm suffering a bit of the after effects this morning. I did get up and do a WATP kick boxing tape. I've scheduled my thyroid tests. It's a 2 day test and can't get an appointment until next Monday and Tuesday because they only give out the medication that you have to take on Mondays and there is a whole list of foods you can't eat for a week. I'll just have to be real patient this week because I was really hoping to get this over with this week.

DH took a personal day today so he will be home and is hoping that the rain will hold off so he can do some work outside. I wish I could have done the same but being one girl short in the office didn't make that possible and think I better hold off on taking any time off until I see whether I will have to take some time off.

Lots of little things to take care of around here that didn't get done over the weekend so I'm off now to try to take care of a few of them before work.

Hope the day treats you well!

Good morning, everyone!

First thing - Lori - Good luck with your medical tests today! Thinking of you....

Well, Easter Sunday turned out to be a lovely day. Chilly, but sunny and bright. I ate moderately, including dessert, and enjoyed every bite. The kids weren't at each others' throats too badly. The niece woke her brother up early (kind of payback - he does it to her every weekend), and as a result, the nephew was whiny, cranky, and desperately in need of a nap by midafternoon; fortunately, he didn't fight it and crashed for about an hour. Easter baskets were a hit - he dumped his out on the living room floor, prompting a mad dash for all the M&Ms that fell out of the plastic eggs before the dog got to them, and she hid hers in her room to prevent little brother from getting at it. She read part of her new book "Samantha the Snob", then she read his new book "A Weekend with Wendell", then she came downstairs and read his book out loud to all the adults while little bro snoozed. The "Tower of Bunnies" and "Chick-Tac-Toe" games proved worthy distractions.

My backyard is becoming an interesting place. Last week we saw a big deer out there, and daily we see the requisite skunks and racoons, and we see an occasional woodchuck. Yesterday morning I saw a fox sitting on the rock near the brook; he was eyeing a couple of squirrels that were making themselves busy eating acorns. I didn't witness the fox attack the squirrels; it trotted off into the brush across the brook in search of worthier prey.

Have a great Monday, everyone! Back to fitness for me!

Had a good run yesterday, over 2-1/2 miles in 30 minutes (not sure how much, but I know it was less than 3). Hip is nominally sore today... but only when I'm waddling like the geese in "The Aristocats" - we saw that Disney movie yesterday since Allison got it in her Easter basket, and today she had MIL and I waddling with her! LOL! Anyway, I still have this tight hip, but it gradually seems to be working loose - it doesn't ache right after running like it has in the past. Crossing fingers.

Today, UB/LB work, abs.

MIL is leaving for home today, so it'll be somewhat back to normal for a few days before heading out for a mini-vacation.

Hi, Patty...thanks for getting this started today. Good fitness plans for you today and you will get the eating under control. Maybe once those chickens are gone and you can concentrate on you a little more.

Getting back on track again for me after yesterday. I am exhausted...too much sugar that my body was not used to at all. Glad there weren't a lot of dessert yesterday and that is almost gone. Just have to avoid the Easter candy whick really isn't too hard after getting it out of my system yesterday and feeling so yucky today.

I already taught my Pilates class this
