How is the weather????It is miserable!!!!Lots of rain and a cold 40 degrees. They say a warm front will be thru later which will trigger off terrible thunderstorms with hail and high winds. But since it seems to have peaked at 43 degrees I don't think that will be a problem.I'm trying very hard to be positive and thankful for the rain but it's not my strong point.Back in Dec they were saying we had one of the rainiest years on record. Now here we are only 3.5 months into a new year and they are saying it's much needed moisture!!!I don't get it!!!What did they do with all the extra????

Have I been tempted???This is food related right?Oh YES, I've been tempted!!!I ate a few(ok six)muffins last week and still haven't gotten full.My body is in full carbo craving mode. You know how they say calcium will help that?So not true!!I know because I ate 1/2 of a cheesecake one night last week and was still hungry!!!I think something may be going on with my hormones or possibly I've just become a mindleesly eating crazy woman due to lack of sunshine.I guess it could even be a mental thing but not ready to go there yet.

I did get a really great run in today. 5 miles on my treadmill and challenged myself with the speed.

May go do some ab work now,or build an ark......

Patty - You had cheesecake; isn't that dairy and a calcium source? If that's all you had after the 6 muffins last week, I think you're doing great!!!

(trying to ignore my headache and find a bright side inside the clouds.....)

Exactly!!!It's a great source of calcium and isn't that suppose to help with cravings and weight loss???Nada, zilch, nothing!!!!!Only thing it did was make me want the rest of the cheesecake.

I'm so sorry to read how awful you feel.It sounded like you had a very rough night.Do you think you might be getting a sinus infection?

Let me know if you find the bright side in the clouds.I'm ready to rip off the rose colored glasses and call it what it is; too darn wet!!!!!

Your muffin & cheesecake post reminded me of my M&M's fiasco on Sat. night (or was that Sunday?? It must have put me in a sugar stupor 'cause now my days have run together)! Anyway, we're not talkin' a small bag of Easter M&M's either! Maybe because they were plain it was lower calories than the peanut butter ones or the peanut ones? I'm grasping, I know! The whole weekend and yesterday were rainy, cold and dreary! I think that really does affect how I feel, too. Patty, good for you on your 5 miles and challenged speed! You're always so awesome on mileage!

Today, I've done really well with food and I intend to keep it up - sun is out for the rest of the week supposedly. I'll try to send some up your way Pattycakes. I drank lots of water, too. I have to put on capris and a tank for Friday's golf tournament so I have to be good!

Hope you feel better soon, Donna! There are so many people out here with these horrible upper respiratory infections - I'm lucky not to have had them this year.

Get lots of rest tonight.

Got Earth, Wind & Fire tickets today (orchestra section even), so I'm pretty excited about that even though it's on a Tuesday night (5/4). I've wanted to see them for years, and I expect there will be lots of boogieing going on.

Rob has bacterial conjunctivitis and got some anti-inflammatory/antibiotic drops for it. The tiny bottle of drops was over $72.!!! Ins. paid $25., but still that is SO high. He has to use them for 5 days and is going back Monday for a regular eye exam. My eyes are burning and itching more than usual, so I hope I haven't caught it. It's highly contagious.

We took the Mona Lisa lily plant I'd gotten for Mom and Dad over to them before his appt. They live across town, so that was a good little trip. Got to visit only 20 minutes, before we had to hit the road. Rob got a haircut and we got the grocery shopping done.

In desperation, I've made an appt. with a place called Positive Changes that uses hypnosis to help with weight and other problems. The consultation is free, and I'm just curious to get an estimate for what they think it would take to help me change negative behaviors and replace them with positive ones. I've been hypnotized before and respond well to

Cheesecake has calcium as does MILK chocolate. My BF had sent to me (in a chilled box, no less) a box of chocolate from Las Vegas. Who knew that LV made such great chocolate? Anyway, it was nuts and chews (she IS my best friend and DOES know what I love). I wolfed down a few pieces (mindlessly...couldn't even tell you what was in them...nuts, definitely). Then I did what every other pre-menopausal woman would do..I hid the box. AND dared anyone (including my long-suffering DH) to touch them. I did end up sharing a piece of candy with DH, contemplated eating the rest of the box in one sitting (to save it from the monkeys that live in my house who are supremely happy with Hersheys), but could only manage to get down four pieces and a glass of milk. I hid the rest. It's sick, it's an illness, but I've pretty much come to terms with it :)

PS -- Just found tiny bell peppers starting and tiny buds for hydrangeas and lantana while I was out picking up tons of twigs and small branches from the sycamore and oak trees.

I wrap snickers up in foil and hide them in the veggie bib.I hide them M&Ms in the lower shelf in the roasting pan.A place for everything and everything in it's place, I say.

It's a sickness???Are you sure?
