Let Nature Energize You
(Excerpt from Become an Energy Addict)
Ever wonder why people love the beach, the mountains and places like Central Park in New York City? Because they are powerful sources of energy. Whether it's the ocean air, the crashing waves, large trees or fields of green, when we visit these places we feel the positive energy of nature and it has a profound effect on our mind and body.
My friend Deb says that she gets her energy from the beach. She once told me, "The sunlight reflecting off the water gives me energy and the waves crashing on shore give me strength."
I have a friend Brian who loves to hike in the mountains. He says that he goes to the mountains to put his life in perspective. And many of the residents of New York City will tell you Central Park is where they recharge their batteries.
If you are like most people you probably are reading this thinking, "Yes, I love these places. I feel great when I go there." And like most people it's probably been so long since you have tapped the energy of nature that you forgot how much you loved going to these places until you read this. Well, I urge you now to remember the feeling you get when you sit in the park, or feel hot sand on your feet, or stand under 100- year-old trees and let this feeling motivate you to take the time to connect with nature and enjoy the energy it will generously share with you.
ACTION STEPS
1. Visit a place of nature at least once a week. Pick a time and a day and make it a ritual. Take your lunch break in a nearby park. Ride your bike to the beach. Take your kids hiking in the mountains. Go fishing at a nearby lake. Exercise with a friend in a park.
2. If you love golf consider a visit to the golf course as beneficial as a trip to the park so long as you take the time to enjoy the air, the trees and the green grass. Don't let a bad swing or a horrible shot ruin your day.
3. Connect with nature and connect often.

I read an article the other day about the importance of positive images, thoughts and other things for our bodies.Along with the right foods we have to give our bodies the right mental things too.Lately the news and images on tv are so overwhelming that I really feel the need to take a break and find the good somewhere.
What alot of words to say good post :) Thanks!
Miss P
Patty I think you're so right about all the negative images we get tossed at us every day.
