Good morning and a Thankful Thursday to you!

I’m thankful that yesterday’s feeding frenzy is over. I did fine through the Newcomer’s meeting yesterday but when it came to clean up…whoa! How many know that it’s easier to eat 3 of something on a plate than to wrap it up? Furthermore, isn’t it pretty much a sin to throw a perfectly good cream puff or appetizer in the trash? After all, there could be starving children in China! That’s what my mom used to tell me anyway.

I know all of us here on the board have so many things to be thankful for. What’s yours?

I’m very thankful for the HUGE change I’m seeing in our marriage, which started with the marriage enrichment classes. I’m also thankful for the people that dedicate themselves to teach us.

I’m looking forward to a great workout later this morning. Working large muscle groups today. Legs first (time to recover) and then chest and back. After that…on to the elliptical trainer. What do you "get" to do today?

I hope you have an absolutely thrilling Thursday with many things to be thankful for!

Good morning! I think all parents used to use that starving foreign children thing back when we were growing up. Even as a child I used to ask, "How does my eating something help a starving child in India?" Of course, that wouldn't stop me from trying to help out even now by finishing off the cream puffs. I think it may be considered a sin to throw those away, but not necessarily an appetizier (depends on the type)... ;-)

I'm thankful that we got Rob to the eye dr. quickly so his conjunctivitis could be treated and start getting well. Thankful that Tim went to the dr. for his ear, but he still needs to go back for the nausea he's having. I'm getting very concerned about that (I KNOW he's not pregnant!), and I'm thankful to get to try out this hypnosis thing to see if it will help make positive changes for me.

I'll leave in a few minutes to take Rob to school, am meeting a new friend at Panera at 9 to just sort of chat and get to know each other better, have a tax rally from 12 to 1, and the hypnosis session from 2 to 3. I'm so glad I made the turkey breast yesterday, so I can *sit a spell* when I get home.

I did glance through the South Beach Diet Cookbook last night. Looks as though there are some good recipes for all 3 phases with some added desserts. All of the recipes except the ones from famous restaurants are marked for the appropriate phase.

Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

We NEVER NVER throw a cream puff in the trash!!!!That is so wrong! We either eat it or apply it directly to our thighs.

So many things to be thankful for today. Thankful the chickens are gone and it looks like I finally had a good flock go thru.Thankful for the better weather they are callin for. maybe sun and close to 80 this weekend!!!I'm positively giddy at the thought.

Good Morning

Throw a creampuff away-Never!

Another rainy day although the sun is supposed to appear soon along with some warm weather! Can't wait!

I don't see a workout on the agenda for today as I overslept-been doing that a lot lately. But hopefully after dinner the weather will have dried up and Otto and I can go for a nice walk.

Thankful this morning for my family and friends that have offered their support, encouragement and prayers for my nervous nerves that keep jingling this week and probably next.

Off to tackle a few household chores before heading out the front door to work.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good morning!

Creampuffs? Nah. I'll trade for dark chocolate.

Wild temperature swings here, still raining, and still windy. It's 41 degrees - I dragged out my winter jacket again, piled a sweater and mittens on (still - no hat), and ventured into the cold. I can't wait for the weekend and the nicer weather that is promised - that's mostly what I'm thankful for, and for the fact that my headache only lasted for two days instead of all the way through this stormy-weather period. Monday, Marathon Day - "near record temperatures". We're talking 85!

Workout tonight is cardio, more UB, and abs. My shoulder isn't burning anymore, so I'll do pulldowns, chest presses, curls, and a couple of flyes - never been good at those in particular, so they'll be with low weights.

Have a great day, everyone!

I'm thankful you're still giving us some food for thought each day, Phyllis! I'm also thankful for Grace & Lori who are doing such a nice job in being our community leaders.

We are so fortunate at this Board to receive the best motivation.

I sure hope I feel better - the weather is gorgeous here!!! I mean!!! What is wrong with me to feel so lousy when it is breathtakingly beautiful in E. Texas! I just want to jump in my car, put on my shorts & hit my favorite trail. Do you think I could get away with playing hooky!!??

Well, I wish you all a great day whatever you do!

Another thankful I have - that I am not quick tongued to stoop to rude, cattiness of some people's level. I called this woman back to tell her thanks for inviting Danny to play in the baseball tournament this weekend but that his pulled muscle in his back prevented him from playing. Her response was "well that's too bad, I was hoping Danny would have a chance to make All Stars"!!!! I held my tongue but I did think that by golly if my son made All Stars it would be on his own abilities and not because he played for some All Star coach from last year who is going to a tournament (not even with our baseball association - so it could be "illegally"). She just had to try to make me feel indebted to her! She reminded me of last year's coach who called and left that disgusting message

for my poor son to hear.

I wish people would remember that if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing.
