~*~ Thankful Thursday ~*~

Good morning and a Thankful Thursday to you!

I’m thankful that yesterday’s feeding frenzy is over. I did fine through the Newcomer’s meeting yesterday but when it came to clean up…whoa! How many know that it’s easier to eat 3 of something on a plate than to wrap it up? Furthermore, isn’t it pretty much a sin to throw a perfectly good cream puff or appetizer in the trash? After all, there could be starving children in China! That’s what my mom used to tell me anyway.

I know all of us here on the board have so many things to be thankful for. What’s yours?

I’m very thankful for the HUGE change I’m seeing in our marriage, which started with the marriage enrichment classes. I’m also thankful for the people that dedicate themselves to teach us.

I’m looking forward to a great workout later this morning. Working large muscle groups today. Legs first (time to recover) and then chest and back. After that…on to the elliptical trainer. What do you "get" to do today?

I hope you have an absolutely thrilling Thursday with many things to be thankful for!

My parents and the nuns used the starving children in Europe routine on me. Of course, we always heard about the depression too, and how many times they went to bed hungry! You say something like that to the kids today and they look at you like you have 2 heads. Well, with teenagers, we always have 2 heads.

I am thankful that my foot was a little less painful after PT today.

Of course I am always thankful for my family, friends, good health (on the whole) and being alive another day.

In that case, I believe technically it would be considered a mini eclair and it then actually becomes illegal, as well as sinful, to throw it away! ;-)

Hmmm.....nope, still prefer canolli with ricotta filling and lots of semi-sweet chocolate chips....although I would probably spoon the chocolate filling out of the creme horn pastry and eat that (I don't like the pastry).

On another note - I'm Krisy Kreme deprived no more, except by choice. A shop opened up at the Prudential Center about three blocks from my office. People were bringing boxes of them home on the train tonight! You should have seen the overhead parcel racks - more KK boxes and bags than briefcases. Fortunately, the location of the shop is a bit off the path for me to head out for a mid-morning or afternoon break to wait for the HOT DONUTS sign. Maybe for lunch, though....

And I found out that the new Cracker Barrel about 6 miles from my house opens up on July 5th! Wonder if there will be fireworks....

I've been known to peel the chocolate off the eclair and eat just that. Does that mean the judge will sentence me less severely?

Yes, it becomes a misdemeanor. I just make it up as I go along... LOL!

Oooooh, peach pancakes!!!! I had a bagel at Panera for the first time in ages this morning, but I had it with no butter or cream cheese, so that was an improvement for me. I've eaten really well the rest of the day.
