What are you doing up so early when you have a day off?
The Princess sounds like she's rarin' to go this morning! Enjoy your day and the sunshine!
We, too, are promised the beautiful weather. It didn't look that way early this morning. But the sky is turning blue now and the temperature is rising!
I just finished a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. We have a wedding to attend today. My very good friend is getting married today and she asked me to do one of the readings. I'm so glad that the sun will be shining for them.
That will be my Super Duper Saturday! Enjoy yours!

I lost 2 more lbs. since yesterday by being able to stay on Phase 1 of the SBD! That's 3 1/2 lbs. in 2 days. I must be a real water balloon! I listened to my hypnosis tape a couple of times yesterday and listened to the CD of positive affirmations he gave me to play in the car or wherever. Rob was with me part of the time, and he was going around saying, "I love water. It gets rid of the toxins in my body and makes me beautiful!" I couldn't help but laugh at the voice he used.
So far, I haven't been motivated to drive up to the Y or put in a Pilates tape, but I have already mowed and edged the lawn this morning instead of waiting until the heat of the day or early evening to do it. Just taking a break before I go back out to use the blower all around.
Rob went to a friend's condo at the beach to skateboard. They're having new cabinets put in and new furniture delivered. Must be nice! Tim is still in bed.
I hope we're going to the St. Aug. Garden Show, so we can go to the beach tomorrow. Patty, so glad you've got some good weather up there and that you have a day off to take advantage of it. Our weather will be pretty similar. I think we'll be mid-80's tomorrow.
We're invited to the neighbor's across the street 40th birthday party tonight and by a friend of mine to go to a club down at the beach owned by the widow of Lynryd Skynryd's original lead singer (Freebird Cafe) to hear her son's band play. He's the drummer, and it's the first time they've played since he broke his hand. Hope he'll do OK. That's stressful on the hands and wrists even when you haven't been injured.
Have a great day everyone!

Last night was a lot of fun, seven of us playing Cranium after a dinner of lasagna and salad.
I've been in a real funk the last couple of days. I think it must be hormonal. Yesterday all I wanted to do was sit down and cry because I felt so down in the dumps about a lot of things. I just don't seem to have any enthusiasm for much of anything these days. Usually I've already got my veggy patch seeded and under way. I haven't even finished weeding it this year! I've got a million projects that I want to do in the house, including painting the kitchen. It's been ten years since it was last done and is shwoing the wear and tear. Dh on the other hand would probably be content looking at it this way until the paint was literally peeling off the walls. I love him dearly, but he is not much of a Mr. Fix-It. The kids have been rotten the last couple of days. Adam has started playing with the little boy down the road and I swear this child is going to be the death of me. He's assertive to the point of aggressive and questions and argues about everything dh or I say. Plus, we've noticed that he likes to be an instigator and eggs Adam on when he thinks no one is listening. UGH! I'm not real fond of the behaviors that A is picking up and in turn Max is getting exposed to! I just haven't decided what I want to do about setting the limits yet, but I'm going to have to get them established soon. He was banging on the door at 9:30 this morning for Adam to come out and play!
Today is better though. Not great, but at least I'm not teary. Of course the weather isn't helping. The barometric pressure around here is all over the board and I've been getting poopy headaches for the last few days. The sun is shining today, even if the wind is a bit chilly.
Dh headed off at 4:30 this morning for a conference in Orlando. The lucky dog! He's gonna pay big time when he comes home! Haha! There will be two little boys itching to see him and spend time with him, and a momma that's going to be in dire need of a break! :) He gets home Wed. night.
On the plus side, I'm on Day 6 of Phase I SBD. I started on Monday, and I've been good as gold. The scale is reflecting it. Down 7 lbs this morning (after 5 days). I got a couple of good power walking days in on Wednesday and Thursday, not much scheduled exercise yesterday, but I was busy and on the move all day yesterday, cleaning etc. I'm feeling so much better already. Sleeping much more soundly and not nearly as sluggish.
Rhonda...since we can have low fat yogurt now in Phase 1, I've started making "the dessert" with yogurt instead of ricotta. Just made a batch of raspberry and it is absolutely ahhhhlicious!
Let me know if you try any good recipes from the SBD Cookbook. I may just pop for it. Saw a recipe somewhere (I think a Canadian Living Cookbook) for chicken fillets, rolled up with Proscuitto around the outside and grilled. They look very, very good! I guess a person could always put something in the center of the roll to keep the chicken nice and moist too. For some reason, my brain still wants that "starch" side dish. Not the starch itself, but something besides "green" vegetables. I can only eat so much cauliflower, so I've taken to sauteeing (sp?)some mushrooms in a non-sticket skillet. They seem to do the trick for that "other" dish.
Well, that's about all my news for now.
Rhonda...good luck with the hypnosis. I'm finding SBD much easier this time around. After the first day, it's been a piece of cake. I don't even have to think much about what I'm eating. Donna, enjoy your sleep over. Patty enjoy your last day off!! Did you hear that Avian flu has hit up here big time. They've exterminated the birds on 29 farms now, but none on the island. They are all on the mainland. Big mess to clean up!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Shar
