Good Sunday morning everyone. I need to eat breakfast & jump in the shower to ready for SS. I really enjoyed Dr. Stanley this a.m. & like he said, I need to let God sift out the "junk" in my brain so it will be clear for God's guidance. Another great point (besides the continuous prayer) was to clear the path of my strong desires. Great message on finding clear guidance for God - which is promised in the Bible.

Now I did watch something cute & funny last night after work, "Cheaper by the Dozen" - after watching that I KNOW I was never cut out to have that many children! Cute movie!

After SS I have to work so will be bushed afterwards and I just want to rest.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Nancy,

Congratulations on the new trike! I showed DH the picture of your new trike and he is oohing an ahhing over it. Asking me a million questions about it. Dh was in the bike business for years before and right after we got married and still owns a '73 Harley Sportster although I think our riding days are over. Happy riding!

Morning All,

It is indeed a Sumptuous Sunday! It is absolutely gorgeous here! I'm trying to get all my must dos out of the way so that I can convince DH to get my favorite chair out of storage and get my butt into it to enjoy the sunshine!

DH and I went to early church this morning and then he treated me to breakfast at IHOP. No workout planned for the day except for a walk with Otto which really is not a workout more like a pleasurable stroll.

I have to get a load of laundry into the dryer and then off to the grocery store to restock the shelves.

Phyllis, I'm sorry to hear Johnny will be gone for such a long period but glad that he's only doing the training for Iraq.

Sure hope you all will be enjoying a Sumptuous Sunday!

Good Morning, Charlie.

Had an eventful day at church this morning. Which I spent the week stressing about. DH and I and two other people sang Special Music during the worship service. An old Baptist standard, "The Blood Will Never Lose it's Power", Hymn #133 in the Baptist Hymnal. Glad that's over. My knees were rubbery and I felt like my voice was shaky a couple of times, but my daughter and son (the only two I know who will be completely honest) said we sounded great and the harmony was awesome. I am NOT doing that again! It was too stressful. Woke up at 4:00 this morning in a full-blown panic attack about it! But I was prepared and didn't need my music (thank God since I had a death grip on the mic stand!).

Anyway, it is gorgeous here in Northern Virginia today. I have a ton of stuff to do, plus two older kids are each refereeing two soccer games and youngest son has a baseball game. Just another Smith Day of Rest ;)

Phyllis, sorry to hear Johnny is leaving you for the summer, but very thankful he's not going to Iraq or Afghanistan. Our friend leaves tomorrow. His name is Tim. Please keep him in your prayers. He says he's going to Afghanistan, but my DH led me to believe other stuff was happening. The less we know, the better. Tim gave my DH more info than he's given his wife.

Shar, we all definitely go thru the ups and downs with eating and workouts. I am a PRIME example of that! Have been an absolute SLUG this week. I'm trying to talk Dr. Phyl to flying out for a visit while Johnny is away to kick my butt back into gear.

Nancy...you go girl! The trike looks awesome! Russell is so jealous! He says it looks brand new. Have fun. Be safe!

Love you guys.

Sassy

I will start my post with a good afternoon here. Phyllis I am sorry to hear about Johnny leaving but you are right about being glad he is staying stateside. I am sure the 4 months will drag, do you have enough on your plate to keep you busy? Any trips planed to go and see him, or can he come home for a weekend? I know you are going to miss him. Nancy your new toy is beautiful, really hot. Enjoy it and will hubby let you drive it? Patty I have to agree with the others here, you sure do make a difference in all of our lives. You are constant and dependable. Thanks! Kat, the movie was cute, was it not? We rented it on Friday night and I laughed my butt off with Katie. A really good family movie. Actually Bill wants me to get it again for tonight so he can cuddle with Katie after dinner and watch it.

I had a rough night last night. Had a wonderful dinner with our friends and went and sat down on their brand new $200,000.00 Sea-Ray Boat. Gosh it must be nice to have money.........it was beautiful out too. Still is, I think we finally have spring. Got home to find Billy still working at the shop on his friends truck, which he does often. Robbie was up there with him. Rob came home with his friend Keith and askes me then could Keith sleep over. I was like, what? Of coarse they had already cleared it with Keiths parents. Rob and Keith went back to the shop to help Billy finish up and well when I woke at 1:30 they still were gone. So I had to call over and demand they get home, which they did. At 2:30 I hear voices, it is Rob and Keith watching a bike video, I was going to kill them. They finally turned the TV off and went to sleep. Katie came into our room around 3:30 with a head ache, which she had all day yesterday. I was so exhusted I just let her climb into my bed, which I normally never do. We dozed off to sleep and around 4 my oldest finally came home. We slept until 8 and then Katie went into her own bed, still complaining of this head ache. I called her pediatrician and they took us at 9:30. I worry about her blood pressure because of her heart condition and 24 hours with a head ache was too long. So with only half of my tea into my tummy and no shower off we went. Turns out its a virus, although they did do a strep test, which was negative. She has a fever of 101 (bad mom, I never took her temp), swollen glands, and a very red throat, plus the head ache. Doctor said its a virus and will have to run its coarse over the next 2 days.......nice. Now we are home and I fed the clan and everyone is off doing something. I am going to put my shorts on in a few minutes and head outside for a nice walk alone, while Katie stays here with Bill. I will check back with you all later.

Sorry to hear the little darlin' is sick! Big hugs and kisses to her. And to you...the guilt-ridden mom syndrome...I rarely take temps, either anymore. That third kid came along and he was fresh out of the womb when I told him he was the Prince for a year, then he was on his own with the rest of them! Actually, he is STILL the Prince, as the others (including DH) reminds me constantly!

Hope you ALL get some rest tonight.

Hugs.
