Good morning! Yesterday and the beginning of today turned out to be a real bear! We suspected that Dad had had another minor stroke in his sleep sometime early Sunday morning, but we could not get him to go to the hospital when he should have. I'd checked in a couple of times and done what I could and that was about it.
Today, I had left around noon to run errands and take Rob to the eye dr. for his exam and contact lens fitting. On the way back, I got a call from my sister here telling me that Mom had sent us all an email around 2 to let us know she was taking Dad to the emergency room. He had felt too bad to go earlier than then. Lisa was heading over to see what was going on and to offer moral support, but had a mandatory meeting this evening and had been running a fever herself since last night. I told her to go to her meeting and head home that I'd head right to the hospital.
It was rush hour traffic and some lunatic on I-95 northbound was racing at about 80 mph cutting in and out of traffic as though he had a death wish. He cut in front of me, but what was really bad is he almost immediately cut in front of the car in the lane to the right of me with literally little more than a car length between it and the car behind it. If the guy being cut off hadn't slammed on breaks there'd have been a bad wreck that I'd probably have been involved in! I watched him do this up the highway as he left me in his dust, and I finally called 911 about it before he killed someone. They said they'd get an officer over to that area, but shortly north of there you can continue on I-95 N.

It's another beautiful and warm day here today. It got to 86 yesterday. I took today as a personal day and will go for the actual scan this afternoon. I got interrogated yesterday and took the medication that is necessary for today's test. I have nervous energy so I will try to put it to good use this morning. I have a Dr's appt late this afternoon for a follow up on my BP to see how I'm doing on the lower dosage of the one drug that has been causing me problems. I'm not sure this was the best week to experiment with that-so we'll see what happens. I am hoping that the lab will have faxed over some results to the dr's office by the time I get in there otherwise I'll just have to be patient a little while more.
I'm still in my pj's, I've cleaned up the kitchen have a load of laundry going and in a little while I'm going out for a nice walk outside. I'm going to take advantage of having this beautiful morning free.
Hope your Tuesday is terrific!
Susan
Rhonda, I'm sure sorry to hear that you have so much happening again in your life that is stressful.

Oh, my Rhonda! I am so sorry also that things are so crazy for you right now. I will definitely keep DH, your Dad and especially you in my prayers. Good for Tim for getting a sooner appointment with the doctor. Poor guy should not have to suffer like that. Hope your Dad isn't feeling too badly today, too.
Hopefully that maniac on the road was stopped before he did cause a major accident. I don't understand at all why some have to drive like that to maybe save 2 minutes.
Unbelievable that you were able to eat well with all of this going on. Try to get some rest.
Hugs
