At the tail of the week when I was sick (remember those 6 lbs I lost and came back fast LOL), I thought I was having a heart attack at Jazzercise.

My doc specifically chose Celexa because it starts working relatively quickly (I noticed a change after 3 days, although my doctor said 5 days) and you can stop and start at any time. It's not addictive, fewer side effects. My only side effect is still that I'm tired when I wake up in the morning, but not sure if that is because of the meds or that I've given up caffeine and haven't worked out all week!

Probably all three :)

It is so normal for a person suffering from depression and/or anxiety to resist medication.

I doubt the men out there suffering from anxiety attacks would agree it is "hormonally related" ;)

From what I've read it can be hormonal even in men.

Serotonin isn't a hormone, but a chemical in the brain which acts as a neurotransmitter. Love that serotonin!!!
