Test Results are back

but the doctor and I are scratching our heads over the outcome. The test today showed no indication that there is a cyst in my thyroid either through the scan or the physical examination. The doctor at the facility questioned as to where I had the initial test done and how they had found it. By the time I got to the doctor this evening she had the doctor's report and she was a bit mystified too. My thyroid hormone levels all came back normal but she still has the one test indicating that there is something there. So I now will have a sonogram done with both test results in hand which is what the doctor in the testing facility had indicated that my doctor would advise me to do. I will be scheduling that tomorrow.

BP was still in normal range with the cutback of medication so that's a very good thing. Still no explanation for the fatigue issue but she's running a blood test for my iron level. I'm not anemic but she said a low level of iron or B-12 could be causing it. I'll know those results by the beginning of next week.

I am feeling relieved this evening but will be really glad when the final verdict is in.

Susan, I'm glad the news is good so far and hope they can clear up the mystery soon. I'm eager to hear what is causing your fatigue too, because maybe it will give me some insight into what's causing mine. My thyroid tests always come back normal even though I have all the symptoms of an under active one. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Rhonda

Sounds like you got some good, if not confusing , news.I've read where even what appear to be normal ranges can cause fatigue.Really good news about the BP.Keep us posted on what else you find out.

Well, I suppose inconclusive news is better than what it could've been. Keep us posted, of course.

I think I heard your sigh of relief, Susan, with your good but confusing news about your results. Sure hope the sonogram clears things up once and for all.

Thank you for letting us know so quickly about the results. I sure was thinking about you and even though I have major fatigue today, I came on board to see how you were. (Fatigue is one of the major symptoms/complaints of perimenopause. I had it for years...it seems to be easing up some except for days like today when my sleep disturbances got me
