The bad news is that Dad fell at the hospital this morning. He had been given some medicine to help him relax for the MRA yesterday, but I guess it hadn't worn off totally and Dad was

Glad to hear some good news about Tim. Sorry to hear about Dad! One thing after another, isn't it? It sux to get old. We're starting into this phase with my in-laws. Russell keeps trying to keep it all in and finally said to me today, "well, they are MY family". Well, I quickly put him straight on that! I love them (and sometimes get mad at them) just like I do my own! I guess he needed some reassurance on that! MEN! Can't live with them...yadda yadda.

Hugs, Rhonda. Keeping all of you in my prayers!

Sassy

Your poor father! Enough already for him. I hope it's just a temporary discomfort with his leg and not another bigger issue.

The news sounds encouraging about Tim. Hoping as ever it's nothing major. Could his nausea be coming from something as common as as inner ear infection?

I want to hear that you're getting some rest somewhere along the line. You remember rest, don't you?

Huggs,

Donna

Oh, sheesh, poor Dad! I will say more prayers that he didn't do any major damage to his knee.

That IS good news about Tim. So sorry he is nauseated again.

You hang in there Rhonda! You must be going through h*ll, but every bit of good news will hopefully help you feel better.

Hugs

Grace

PS...Had to check on you too today. I wasn't going to post at all since I was so tired, but I couldn't get you or Susan off my mind.

I hope that Tim's tests continue to come back okay and that they find out the cause of his nausea.

Rhonda,

Your poor dad. Hope nothing serious is found in the x-ray. Good news about Tim. Hope they find out what's causing his problems. Hope there's some rest time in there for you. But I know it's easier said than done. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Susan

Thanks everyone! Tim's ear infection seems to be gone, so that isn't what's causing the nausea. He has other symptoms that are more concerning to me too. The bloodwork will be tomorrow, but the actual colonoscopy hasn't been scheduled yet. He has an appt. with the GI specialist tomorrow.

Rob and I went to see Dad this afternoon. As we were going to his room, who should we see but DAD walking down the hall halfway leaning on Mom!!!! I can't tell you how relieved I was. His knee is swollen and causing some pain, but at least it's not broken. They took 4 Xrays, but we haven't heard the results yet. He felt that if he walked around it would be less likely to get stiff. You just can't keep a good man down!! ;-) He was very happy that Rob came along. We took him a balloon and some Entemann's Chocolate Crumb donuts. He's a donut lover. I love that kind of donuts, but resisted. I am eating broccoli slaw as I type (Can you believe it)? I'm not sure how much longer Dad will be in the hospital, but he seems to be making good progress. I think Mom is the one who's really stressed.

Hugs to you all!

Rhonda
