We all have so much to be thankful for. What's tops on your list this week?
Share your plans for the day and any fun or profound thoughts you might have for making our journey a better or more interesting one. How's everyone feeling this morning?
Have a terrific day!

Time invested in improving ourselves cuts down on time disapproving of others.

Good morning!
Well, obviously, I'm thankful that my Dad's stroke wasn't worse than it was, his fall doesn't look as though it caused a serious enough injury to require surgery, and he appears to be making good progress. That's a biggie.
I'm thankful that Mom has been such a rock for him and that I was able to help her out, as was my sister here in town.
I'm thankful that the tests Tim has had so far have not shown up anything serious, but am still concerned about why he's been sick so long.
I'm thankful for the hypnosis session and tape helping me stay on Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet. Even though I'm stuck at 4 lbs. lost for right now, I know that my eating is much healthier than it was and eventually it will pay off.
And, last but not least, I'm so grateful to the fine, caring

A beautiful day here in Northern Virginia. I have a ton of things to do today, but I think instead of laundry before I go to work, I'm going to go for a walk. The laundry will still be there!
I'm thankful for my husband. He has been under a tremendous amount of stress the last few months and, once his loving wife pointed out to him how he has really been taking it out on us, he did a complete about-face and has been wonderful. He's started running again, now that he has the okay from his doc, although his knee still swells up a bit by the end of the day. He's had to step in and become the parent to his parents, never an easy thing.
So, I'm going to walk this morning, shower and head to the office for the day. Piano lessons and volleyball game right after work. Just another slow day!

Good morning Rhonda and all!
Today is looking like a cooler and possibly damper day than yesterday.

The weather is a bit wacky here. Yesterday started out with sprinkles and damp and then turned into a rather nice day and today has started out much the same although callin' for thunderstorms by this evening.
Rhonda glad to hear that you're dad is doing ok-will keep him in my thoughts and prayers, and for Tim. I know only too well as of late the relief when they rule things out but you still need to know why you're not feeling well.
Work out was a WATP video.
Thankful that although test results are a tie score at the moment things look good that everything is OK. Thankful for all the good thoughts on the board and from family and friends. Thankful for a wonderful day off this week. Thankful for the springing of spring and to be able to go out and enjoyment the beauty of it.
Ok I'm off now to unload, reload and activate some household appliances before heading off to work.
Hope your Thursday is totally terrific!
Susan

Mornin' all-
Profound thoughts huh?
Allison is at a friend's house right now, and after a warm-up and stretching, I'm going to do a 3.5 mile run. I've been running 2.5 miles, and my friend and I walked 3.0 miles in Montgomery, so I think I'm up to it. I've included a hill (gulp) in my route, but as long as I approach it with respect, I believe in the long run it'll do me good - I know I've got some hills on the race in mid-May. I'd like to be better prepared than I was last time, and I've got just under 3-1/2 weeks to do it. I'm also going to get some abs work in. Also... I'VE GOT TO STOP EATING SO MUCH JUNK! CURSES TO EASTER CANDY AND CAKE! Thanks, feels better already ;^).
After that, some yard work. Pine straw needs spreading. Also want to noodle over doing some transplanting: removing compacta holly that offers no color in the blooming months, swapping placement of the azaleas (moving to a more shaded area) and escallonia (to a more sunny area). I've not done anything major to the yard in a few years, and want more color. The azaleas are getting covered up by the compacta right now, they're subject to white flies, and they're in a tight spot.
Also need to go through my coupon drawer. I don't use them much since I buy store brands so often, so I know I've got old expired ones in there. Paper flies out whenever I open the drawer!

I was at a luncheon yesterday where one of the speakers who has been a community leader in Gig Harbor for decades, as well as a very active member in the Republican party (daughter is a state senator too!) was honored and asked to give a speech.
I am so lucky to have this wonderful family. Its full of support and help when I really need it. Between my in-laws this week, my mom, and my husband they all pulled together so I did not have to miss work. That ment so much to me. The kids have been pretty good with helping around the house and Bill has even washed a few dishes these last few weeks.
I am thankful to be able to come here and share all my "stuff" with you wonderful ladies. That means alot, and it gives me that extra push to do what I should.
I can tell you know what I had planned and what actually got done but I will put that in the other post.
