Whew. Whew. And Whew again. Okay, I did my 3.5 miles. Have y'all met your daily goals?

I'm beat, partially because it's a little warm outside, partially because AF is full-force, and partially because this is the longest I've run since last November. On the "room for improvement" side, I walked at least 4 times - I'd like to get to running the whole route again - I resorted to walking to conquer the Big Hill, and my arms got tired even holding them properly. Need to get back into UB workouts to help that. On the "thumbs up" side, I did those 3.5 miles in 41.75 minutes for just under a 12-minute mile - that's *with* walking! - I made it 2/3s the way up Big Hill along with completely running a few smaller ones, no new strains from the run, and even that bum hip held up (it's slowly working itself out). I went from from "What the heck am I doing?" in the first mile to "I can still do this" by the end. 32 days 'til the race, I think I can get back on track. Obstacle to conquer is maintaining motivation for both running and regular working out, which will help in the run.

Drinking my water since I'm sweaty and light-headed, and collecting myself a bit for a few minutes, and then I'll finish up with abs. Whew! :^)

I've been on the run all day even after I got back and did my afternoon post. Ended up going back out and running to several places and never did get to plant my flowers. "My buddy" showed himself again today in the flower bed and gave me quite a scare. I heard a noise and figured it was something too big to be a lizard, so I went walking over to the middle of the flower bed thinking he would be up toward the house. Fooled me -- he was out by the front edge, so I was between him and the house and he wanted to get there to hide. He came racing at me (or it looked that way), and I thought he was going to go over my foot

I've had a good Thursday. Work was busy and I was glad to see 5PM arrive. Again another rainy day predicted but it was sunny and warm. I got some exercise in, drank enough water that I should be floating and have had another great day of eating including some great chicken kabobs for dinner. Otto and I enjoyed a post dinner walk together enjoying the very nice evening air and I've kept myself busy this evening making up dinner menus for next week's entrees. Yup, it's been a good day and I feel like I'm thrivin'!

Hope you've enjoyed a good day too!

Linda, congrats on your run. That is awsome, and you did great.

Rhonda, I am glad your dad is feeling better and on his way home. Also glad that mean old snake did not get you. Those are the things about Florida I do not miss. I could tell you stories that would make you wet your pants from when we lived in Fort Myers.

Patty, are these new little chicks? Are they more work when you first get them and are they babies? Lots of luck with them and I hope you do get to bed early.

Grace, safe travel.

Phyllis, your story about the little lady you met touched my heart. It is amazing how some people just effect us in some ways. I am sure you being there was on purpose. It was nice of you to help her.

My day went well, kind of mixed up. I started a post this morning but my computer decided to act up before I could hit the post button. I just shut it off and decided to take that as a sign to get my butt into gear. Robbie missed the bus so it was up and out early for me. I drove him to school dressed in my lovely legging, with my sweatshirt and slippers. Thank goodness no one saw us. I let Katie stay home because of yesterday. She played Sony this morning while I scrubbed the downstairs bathroom. Man it was gross. I managed to vacume down here and I did 5 batches of clothes today. Katie's doc called around 10 and said I should bring her in just for a recheck since the headache and fever keep coming back. So I quickly jumped into the shower and headed over there. She is fine and the doc said she could go to school tomorrow. No fever today and just a slight headache around noon time. I did not get my planned exercise it this morning as planned.

When we got home I ran and had my nails done while Katie stayed with my mom for an hour. From there we went home and worked on her missing school work. She did 95% of it and will finish the rest over the weekend. I had a brain storm around 5:00. I borrow Katie's TV/VCR and put it on a snack tray in my patio, where my treadmill is. I proceded to watch Harry Potter while walking/jogging on my treadmill. I did 30 minutes and almost 1.5 miles, then I got off and started dinner. I set the table and got all the stuff going in the oven. I went back on and did another 30 minutes. By the time the oven timer went off I was huffing and puffing and man did I work up a sweat. I am so glad I got that fit into my day. I left the TV in the patio with the tape with the plans of getting up in the morning and watching the rest of the movie and walking. I need to convience Bill to put a TV in there. Made the walk go much faster.

Well that was my day. Sorry so long!
