How did everyone do today? Did you get your little 15 minute project done? Did you eat well for breakfast and lunch? What are your dinner plans? How about that exercise, did you all move your little bums? Are you ready for the weekend? Whats on your calendar this weekend? Relax, workout, visit with a friend?

I was getting ready for my shower and caught sight of myself in the long mirror in the bedroom. We've been off in hotels so much for the past month that I haven't really had a chance to look at myself for about a month.
My "double chin" on my butt is gone (no more saggy butt!). And my tummy is finally starting to flatten out. I got out my tape measure and sure enough, my belly is down to the lowest it's been since before the miscarriage two years ago! YAY!!!! 5 inches down from last fall. (Yes, it's my "trouble spot". It's always the *last* area to respond to good diet and exercise and the first to show when I've been slacking off...)
The walking and biking and working out and eating more carefully is *finally* starting to pay off... I was hoping to look sleek in my wedding dress, and I'm finally feeling hope that I'll do just that! But - BOY - it's been a lot of work... seems like it took even longer this time, compared to last time...

I DID eat well at breakfast and lunch, and I managed to snack well, also. I didn't taste a darned thing, either, but at least I didn't keep eating!
I spoke with my doctor. At least he believed me when I told him I know what looks like an allergy and this definitely does NOT look like that; his nurse is somewhat condescending in tone - I could see her looking over the top of her glasses as she said we really don't like prescribing anything over the phone. I understand that she's protecting me and the practice. But her tone! The doctor went back through my records and noticed similar symptoms from both past telephone complaints and office visits. And since I'm not allergic to any medication that he's prescribed in the past, I got my prescription - I'll be on antibiotics as soon as I walk through the front door this evening.
Sassy, Cussette, Phyllis, Rhonda, Nancy, Patty - thanks for your concern and get wells!
Dinner - not cooking. I'm popping my pill and we're running out to our fave Middle-Eastern place for lamb shish kebab; this awesome salad with green pepper, radishes, lots of parsley and mint, celery seed, lemon juice, olive oil, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and toasted pita strips; and freshly made hummus.
I'm still not going to work out until probably Sunday morning. The coworker who came to my house and walked that 4.5-mile uphill death march with me a couple of weekends ago may be joining me again, weather permitting. So that will be my next planned little-butt moving. Although by then, "little" might be a thing of the past....
Have a good evening!
Donna
And I hadn't seen a bunch of posts for the week until today - hope you're feeling more like yourself than you have been.
When's the wedding?

Service guy was out again today. We were working on something in the chicken house which involved me holding up a piece of heavy equipment.Man, the sweating , the heavy breathing!!!You would have thought I was in there with George himself. Then just when I was about to collapse a bunch of dust and dirt came down and covered me in the face.Another day of glamour for the Princess.
Donna, take care.Hope the meds kick in and you feel better soon.
Revanna, great job on the results of your hard work.

The wedding is July 24 in Minnesota. And after that, we're flying to Portland, OR for a week-long computer conference. (We're *such* geeks!) Afterward, we're going to the Italian Alps for our honeymoon. Yay - hiking and horseback-riding.
I haven't been posting much lately: I spent 2 weeks in DC, then a week sick with the flu, then a 1/2 week in Oxford, then the past week catching up with not being here since mid-March. Travelling really takes its toll on my scheduling and routines...
