How was your Saturday? Did you have a nice workout? What delicious foods did you enjoy?

Did you do any fun activities with the family and pets? Spring cleaning anyone?? LOL! (Guess I'll dive into the Spring Cleaning tomorrow.)

I did my 6 mile walk/run (more walking than running) and made a simple pasta dish with a salad w/walnuts & red wine vinaigerette dressing. I made my home smell like garlic! That's fine with me as I love the stuff. I am so glad I signed up for 3 months at the fitness club again this year - I need some change in my workouts!

I may read a book tonight & just rest. Hope you all had a wonderful day.

Hi Kat!I'm heading for a book soon too.

I had a great day. Got lots of work done in Cl and had a great walk with my sister.Lots of hills so a really good workout. This afternoon I took some time off to go see my other sister.I have an aunt who lives near her and I hadn't seen her in a long time so I stopped by and visited it with her. That was alot of fun. However her first words to me were"you look so much better than the last time I saw you!!".So now I'm trying to figure out when was the last time I saw her and what the heck did I look like???LOL Then I stopped in to see Mom and Dad.We had chicken BBQ tickets so I didn't have to rush to get home and cook.Worked a little more in CL and now I'm done for the day.A perfect mixture of enough work to feel good about accomplishing and still having time to play.

You're just getting better and better - your aunt's comment proves it! What book are you going to read? Guess what I picked up at the grocers? Yep, the "Bikini Ready by June 1" issue of Shape magazine (May issue). I can't resist buying the fitness mags sometimes. It has some intriguing sounding articles like "Carbs or Calories: Which Should You Count? The Answer, Finally!" Well, I'm interested to know the answer! The low carb thing is certainly being capitalized on by alot of companies! I see "low carb" on everything from mayonnaise to candy bars! Of course, discriminating consumers like myself know that fresh is best! I never did buy into that prepackaged (processed) low-fat craze by buying alot of fat free crackers & cookies.

Your walk with sister sounded fun - I love trails! Was the bbq good?

I see there's even a low carb magazine out now. Spotted that at Books-A-Million last night.

Had a really good, productive day today. I bought and spread another 400 lbs. of top soil, planted the other 18 impatiens, and put mulch around them to finish the new flower bed on the side under the tangelo tree, planted the 18 dahlias and 5 delphiniums

Busy and fun day! I couldn't get on the boards in the morning, and wasn't around much for the rest of the day.

I got a workout in: running/walking 2.5 miles. I made it further up Big Hill, but I walked about half the route - more than I wanted to walk, but I'm still a bit sore from two days of leg work (my 3.5 mile run on Thursday and an intense LB workout Friday). I just didn't want to overdo it, and frankly, it was already getting too hot outside. Back home, I helped The Cus put down pine straw in the natural areas, planned 6 days worth of meals and made out the grocery list, and did my abs work. After my shower, I took Allison to the Country Fair just up the road - arts & crafts, rides and games for the kids, music and a farm animal petting zoo which she absolutely loved. After that, she and I did the grocery shopping, and we finally got home about 6:30pm. The Cus kept busy as well, so we all had a LONG day but one full of accomplishments.

Busy day around here yesterday! I got so much accomplished and I actually feel like I'm making some headway. I threw out so much stuff, got a lot of stuff together for a yard sale that DD will be doing in the near future. Went through all my fabrics and weeded stuff out, organized all my sewing stuff so it actually can be found. I found out that the top of my computer desk actually does exist and I have a basement floor and it it doesn't look too bad all vaccumed up and it's nice to be down here. All my filing is sorted and ready to be put away, shredded bills. I didn't see too much of the light of day yesterday but I do feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
