Well it is Monday and what does the week ahead hold for you? Are you starting fresh? Any new challenge you want to tackle? Do you have a 15 minute project in store for today? I was thinkink maybe since we are coming to the end of the month we can come up with a new goal for the Month of May. Remember we totaled how many steps we took each day? Can we each look to drop a pound or two this month.........any ideas?

my goal for may is to incorporate more outdoor exercise - with the nice weather before it gets too hot. so, maybe a goal of tracking how many times a week of outdoor exercise?

for me, that means biking. and, hold on to your seats, i'm considering taking up tennis!

scary huh? we'll see about that one... but at least the biking...

Just to let you know I survived yesterday. I read your advise and it really helped. I must admitt I went with the attitude to do the "best" I could, no more, no less. That was even before Nancy posted that.....lol. When Bill and I stopped at Dunkin Donuts on our way into the track all I had was a large cup of hot tea. I packed the cooler yesterday morning with fresh cold cuts, grapes, red peppers, tons of water, and my left over salad from Saturday nights dinner. When my in-laws got there, they brought the munchkins but they also brought me a fat free blueberry muffin. They only bought the small box of munchkins, which we kept closed as to not to temp the hand. I will admitt mine did sneak in and have 3 or 4, but that is not as bad as 10. They also brought in a huge salad, which they purchased at the store, when they stopped. MIL packes some hard boiled eggs, some sugar-free jello too. So she does understand and she did try to help. We walked alot yesterday, up and down, and back and forth. My legs did feel it. We got rained out but Katie did make two passes down the track in her new car. I was a nervous wreck. The fastest she went last year down the 1/8 mile was 13 seconds, yesterday in her very first run she did it in 11 seconds. I was so proud of her. The second time run that peanut made it down the track in 9.42 seconds at 61 MPH. I could feel the gray hair popping in. She was on cloud nine, as were her father and brother!

Onto today.........we have yucky rain and it looks like its going to be like this for the next day or so. I am eatting smart today with 3 hard boiled egg whites for my breakfast with my tea. A cheese stick and some peppers for my mid morning snack. Today will be busy at work, but I missed not going on Friday. I plan on doing my WAP 2 mile tape when I get home. Dinner will be left overs, which is easy. Robbie will be home from school, he started with the bad head ache and slight fever last night on our ride home from NJ.

Oh another thing......when we got home my car was gone. Billy took my car and had it completely detailed yesterday. My old 91 Tbird looks so good. He did it just because, aint that sweet. It cost him like $100 do do that. Well better get dressed and ready for work. Have a great day everyone!

Big Congrats all around Deb. Sounds like you handled yesterday very well and it's nice to know that IL's were thinking of you! Congrats to Katie too! Billy was sweet to have your car done! They can drive you mad but and then something will pop out and their true selves come shining forth! Hope Robbie feels better! Stay dry...it's really raining out there!

Since I took a day off yesterday, back to some kind of workout today. Haven't decided what. I'd like to do some sprinting when Allison is at gymnastics this afternoon - that'd be 3x around the block which is about a mile. I'll run parts of it "all out" until I can't anymore, and then decelerate to a slow jog until I catch my breath.

I've got some phone calls to make today, including our local HVAC company. Our bonus room AC is not cooling - and that's where we pursue our hobbies, including my workouts. Weight training in 85-degree heat makes my head pound.

I need to swap out summer/winter clothes today, at least for Allison. Mine will be sometime this week, though maybe not today.

I'm up for a May challenge. I'd like to lose 3-4 pounds. My main goal is to run that race on the 15th, and so keeping up the workouts is crucial for me both before and after.

Mornin' All,

I'll try this again. Apparently the computer is feeling like I am this morning...unresponsive. We've been having downpours of rain with the power flashing on and off. It's making me feel very sleepy and sluggish and a headache brewing. I did get a workout video in this morning but just didn't quite do the trick this AM.

Nothing much going on in this part of the world. Just the usual work, work and more work! Hope Monday Madness treats you well!

Overcast, drizzly day today. My chill pills are definitely causing me fatigue. Guess I will call the doc today and ask her about it. I can't deal with the fatigue. I'm ready to go back to bed! No workout yet. I'm hoping some real coffee will help. Sipping a soy latte.

Told the boss I would work from home today. DH is home working today, too. He has to get his Government Contracting Officer cert so he's home reading the material. The only way he'll get it done.

Working on the computer, laundry and some home office filing are on the agenda for the day.

Sassy

I vaguely recall a post in which I said I wouldn't whine about the weather.Am I going to be held to that????It's rainy and yucky here today. It's a rainy Monday for pete's sake, the stuff they write songs about!!!And on top of that it appears to be a Hormonal Rainy Monday!!!!Ok, for the moment I think that is out of my system.

I was reading about mixing up a workout last night. They had one in Runners World where you run for 10 mins, do step ,bike, whatever for 10 mins. Back and forth for 20-40 mins.I may do that.Possibly it would take some of the wind out of my whine.

Since it's raining I have no excuse not to do housework. So fine I just won't do it and won't have to make up excuses today!

The challenge thing sounds good except I always start out big and end on a pathetic wimper.I would like to lose 5 pounds though.

Hope someone is having a dry day somewhere!!

Mine caused fatigue, too, Sassy. I couldn't wake up good this a.m. I was prescribed 50 mg. of Zoloft which is too much! I cut the pills in half now. I may have to call my doc if they still cause fatigue when I start back on them next month for a week or so. I thought they made me lose my appetite, but realized it was the fact I had run out of my vitamins for a week! LOL! I started back on vitamins and appetite returned.

Let us know what your doctor says! Hope you feel better soon.

How sad am I....I'm on 10mg and I cut it in half last night and I was STILL fatigued! I'm thinking this line of meds isn't going to be the best for me :)

Hi, Deb. I could lose some more lbs. in May - lost 5 this month so it shouldn't be too difficult (I hope!). My real goal is to somehow find a way to enjoy my workouts - maybe the fitness center will help. I may just try a bunch of different stuff for the month of May - it couldn't hurt!

I woke up late this a.m. so no workout! What a bad way to start the week! Only good thing is that I'm down on the scales & I think I have myself psyched up to lose the rest before summer gets here. I want to concentrate on enjoying being active this summer & not trying to lose lbs.!!!

Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!
