Well it is Monday and what does the week ahead hold for you? Are you starting fresh? Any new challenge you want to tackle? Do you have a 15 minute project in store for today? I was thinkink maybe since we are coming to the end of the month we can come up with a new goal for the Month of May. Remember we totaled how many steps we took each day? Can we each look to drop a pound or two this month.........any ideas?

Congratulations to Katie! Wow, she's quite a racer! Hope Robbie feels better soon and that IS so sweet of your Billy to detail your car.
Still feeling punky. I'm bored with it, and you all are no doubt bored with hearing about it, so I'll stop whining right about now. At least about myself. DH coughed so badly last night that neither of us got any sleep until near dawn, and thus we overslept badly this morning. I didn't get to work until nearly 9:30; normal arrival - around 8:15. I am dragging my tail, but at least it's still small enough, despite no workouts to speak of, that I'm not tripping on it.
Just trying to get through the day today. We'll see if a workout will work out tonight - my legs actually feel shaky. I'm certain my muscles are going to drop to my ankles very soon.
Deb - Katie's racing sounds awesome. I can imagine you standing on the sidelines with a mixture of pride and worry running through your head.
Have a good day, all! Everyone in the rainy places - Don't stand in one place too long, lest you take root!

THis is a week of cross-training for me.
Hey there Deb and good morning all!
We have sunshine and they're callin' for 65-70 degrees today.

Good afternoon! It's hot here -- upper 80's and sunny -- but there's a 50% chance of storms later today, which we can use.
My challenge for May will be to stick with eating healthier and to try to do some consistent form of exercise. Working in the yard and walking on the beach are great, but they won't give the results I'm looking for. The Y starts water aerobics May 1st, and I really enjoyed them when I participated before so maybe I'll get back into them and that will help me head up to the machines as long as I'm already there... The ocean will be warm enough in May to start going in, although the boys have been going in bare chested for the last few weeks -- hearty souls!
Deb, sounds as though Katie is doing terrific with her racing. I'd be a nervous wreck. Congrats on doing well with your eating. I'm glad to hear your MIL was very considerate with the types of food she brought. Sure wish someone would take my car and have it detailed as a surprise! ;-)
Donna, sure hope your DH is better soon. That is so miserable when you're sick like that. Hope you're 100% soon too.
Sassy and Kat, I think any of those types of medicine are going to make you feel somewhat fatigued as part of their "chill" effect. Also, it's probably going to take time for your bodies to adjust to them and build up some sort of tolerance.
I got in a lot of manual labor and some walking this weekend, but I'm really not sore, which is a pleasant surprise. I did a lot of lifting and squatting. I'll probably have thighs like a wrestler!! Anyway, I really should clean house today, but I'm with you Patty about that. I guess I'll have to do at least some. I'd much rather be out in the sun.
I'm taking Rob to get his actual year's supply of contacts today. He could get only one in this morning despite his best efforts. I'm hoping they'll show him some tips to make it easier for him. I do remember going through that with mine though and even after I was

Well, I finished my two weeks of Phase 1 on SBD and I'm down 10 lbs and 7" from all the right places. *Only* 20 more to go! LOL I would like to lose another 10 by the end of May. That will be my goal. My exercise this past month has been nothing more than pathetic, so weather permitting, I'm going to be doing much more walking. I've signed up for the iVillage Walking Challenge thingy too!
Today's agenda - cleaning house. Laundry's done, but the rest of it could use some work!
Have a great week everyone!

Sometimes Rob has gotten his in in 10-15 minutes. When one popped out at school, he said he got it right back in at the bathroom sink. Other days he'll try 25 or 30 minutes, but just can't do it. I think he gets stressed and he blinks. He'll even go do something else to let his eye relax, but the right eye won't cooperate. I can't remember what kind Rob's are. I'll have to check that out.
Glad to hear that Danny is getting his soon. They can empathize with each other!

Congratulations, Shar!!! Great going! I have lost only 4 lbs., but I think it's because even though I've been eating the right stuff, I've been eating too much of it. I've been hungry as a horse. If I don't eat, I start feeling kind of sick and weak. It

You folks with the discipline to stick to the diets really give me inspiration! Inspiration for what, I'm not sure, but inspiration all the same!
Seriously...that is awesome, Shar...you're doing wonderfully! Keep it up!
Hugs.
