I am just so disgusted....

I had such an irritating afternoon. The things my "favorite" coworker is pulling at work has me just seeing red. Apparently when I'm not there she is informing the new woman in the office of her "job" responsibilities. Of course, this woman doesn't know whether she's supposed to be following instructions from her. The new girl approached me outside when I was coming in from lunch as to what she's been having her do and exactly what instruction she's supposed to be following. Of course, everything she has told her is so not true and merely a convenience for to get out of doing extra work. She is just so sneaky and deceitful and the new woman already has her figured out but it just made me really sad and mad because she really likes the office, she's a really hard worker but said this conversation and the way "Sunshine" (as I dub her) cast a real shadow over her day.

I then came home and called for my blood test results and get a prescription refilled and have come up yet with another problem with my blood test results. It seems I now have a sodium level problem that will have to be monitored. It seems to be on the low side and any lower number could cause some serious problems. So back I go in 2 weeks for another draw from the vampires. I'm seriously considering setting up camp in his office. I had to laugh when I got a postcard from his office informing me that it's been a year since my last physical. I've been in his office almost once or twice a month for almost a year now. He's also watching my cholesterol since that all of a sudden is on the rise. They told me to watch my diet--Ok I thought that was what I was doing.

Well, think I'm going to go find some sort of reading material or maybe something to punch and then just call it a day. At least I can say the sun was shining today.

Susan, I am so sorry for how you are feeling. Sounds like what is going on at work is unfair. Can you or did you do something to handle the situation? About your blood work, that stinks. I am really sure you are fustrated and rightfully so. You already take good care of yourself, so I can understand you being upset. I know going to the doc is important but you need to look at yourself and see how you feel. Might you consider going to another doc for a second opinion? Another lab maybe? Hugs to you and please keep us posted.

Gosh, sorry to hear of more complications with your blood work. Let's hope they find the right combination of meds that'll regulate it all the way it needs to be.

Re: the coworker. I think Dogbert (in Dilbert) would have a plan of action for someone like that! It's good that the new employee has figured out what Sunshine is up to. She maybe could seek clarification from the boss regarding her duties - that would make boss aware of what's going on, too, that Sunshine is handing off things. As for you, yeah, it's irritating, and you hate seeing somebody like that taking advantage of others. Try to use it to strengthen something within you, whether you've been praying for patience, the ability to tolerate people like that or so forth. (I'm trying to do that in traffic, though sometimes other drivers really get to me - like the guy in the Corvette who took the off ramp at 25mph yesterday, when the car is capable of at least going the 40mph that my little SUV can without being reckless. I was saying to myself "Trade in the car, man - it's power and maneuverability are being wasted on you!")

How much can a sane woman take? So sorry you are going thru all of this with the blood tests! Hope your doctor can get the meds right so you don't have to keep giving blood & worrying about the tests all the time. Good grief! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Susan.

I agree with Cussette - the new coworker somehow needs to inquire as to her responsibilities from the horse's mouth, the boss. Employers need to be aware of employees who aren't pulling their weight or who are taking advantage of others. Unfortunately, alot of employees get away with things because they are "favored" - don't get me started . . . Good luck with the work situation.

Hugs,

Kat
