It's that day again...What are blessings are you counting and what are you most thankful for? What's the weather like in your neck of the woods and what have you got planned today?

Good Morning,

It is a lovely sunny day here and the weatherman is talking temperatures in the upper 70's!

Today, hopefully, will settle on the score on the thyroid issue. One test says yes, one test says no-so going for the tiebreaker today. That should add some interest to my lunch hour. Just really need this issue resolved before moving on to the next!

Workout was a quick mile on the treadmill and then weights. Looking forward to a nice walk with my most favorite dog after dinner this evening.

Thankfuls-I'm so glad the board was up and running this morning-missed you guys yesterday!

Thankful for my most favorite beast, Otto who just makes me smile when he follows me around the house until I find my sneakers and his leash.

Thankful for my washer and dryer. Even though I really HATE laundry I see people hauling all their stuff to the landromat and just makes me grateful that I only have to go so far as to the basement.

Thankful for the beauty of spring. My lilac tree is blooming and it's just so wonderful to take a walk and take in the changing of the season!

Thankful that as of tomorrow my new front door will be in place and off my living room floor!

Hope your Thursday is filled with good things!

I'm thankful that Allison is so receptive to God and Jesus working in our lives. Yesterday we prayed together, asking for forgiveness and inviting Jesus into her heart. Like everyone in the faith, she'll have ups and downs, and given the gravity of being a Christian, there's no way she can comprehend the awesome responsibility of what it means, but if she was just complying to do something with Mommy, I can't help but think all the talks we have and prayers we share are giving her a foundation for those days when she is faced with more serious issues about eternity and our purpose here on earth. I'm thankful that I live in an area of the country where people are comfortable talking openly about their faith, which makes me bolder to share, and less likely to waver should I move elsewhere where faith is reserved for church only.

I also am thankful that, even though The Cus gets very caught up in day-to-day living and often pushes back on things, that his faith is solid. In checking e-mail this morning, I caught a glimpse of a testimony he was sharing with a friend... my heart melted seeing those words coming from *my* guy.

I'm thankful for this GORGEOUS weather, and the ability to enjoy it. Allison will be going to a friend's house today, and the mom is taking the girls to go pick strawberries! I'm looking forward to another run today while she's gone. Hopefully 3 miles, maybe 3.5 again.

Thankful for a coolio interactive mapping site online offered by our county. You can pull up street addresses and see your neighborhood on an arial map, with streets and buildings (including your own house) plotted. They've got a measuring tool to measure distances... which is FANTASTIC for plotting out running routes!

While it's a downer having to fork out a few thousand $$ for a new HVAC for the bonus room (we're taking advantage of the 90-days same-as-cash deal), I'm thankful we've been blessed with a comfortable and secure home. Though repairs and maintenance can be expensive, in the big picture, it's minutia.

Good morning!

It's a beautiful day here, at last. The rain has dried up for a couple of days, and we're looking at mid-70s, sunshine, and fairly brisk breezes today. I took a chance and wore a sleeveless tank-style dress to work today - I doubt the a/c will suddenly kick in and turn me a lovely shade of blue, but you never know.

Feeling much better. I'm still coughing my head off, but I figure that's going to last for many more weeks. DH is doing better, also - coughing, but not dragging around like he had been. That's my big thankful - that we're on the mend. By week's end, I hope we'll be ready for a short road trip to Cape Cod or up to Marblehead, a pretty seaside town on the North Shore, for the day.

No workout Wednesday night, but I did take a walk into a really strong headwind at lunchtime that provided a boatload of resistance. It felt good to be out.

Time to get back to the weights tonight; I'll do a short cardio session, then hit the weight machine - don't know if I'll do upper or lower body yet. It'll be short and quick because there's a desperate need to visit the grocery store tonight. The fridge is bare, meaning I can see clear to the back of it without moving anything around, and the leftovers are gone.

Despite PMS and eating pretty weirdly at dinnertime over the last week plus, I stepped on the scale and found I've been maintaining my weight loss. I think having fairly healthy breakfasts and lunches saved me. It's encouraging to see, but it's a bad habit to get into, because you start thinking you're going to able to keep eating funny indefinitely with no ill effects. Got to get that thought out of my head!

Susan and Lori - good luck at the doctors today. Rhonda - Take care of yourself and try to squeeze a few naps in there somewhere today.

Have a super-uber day, everyone!

Good morning friends. I thought it was my computer acting up. I missed you all yesterday too, althought the day was so busy I had little me time, let alone computer time.

Rhonda.....I hope they get your dad's BP under control and he gets to come home soon. Good luck with the results of your mam, its probley routine, but let us know as soon as you can. Lori........lots of luck with your doc and his quest. I am sure its fustrating not knowing why things happen inside. Let us know how you make out. Sounds like the yoga trade works for both of you, so that is great. My husband trades stuff with people all the time. My landscapers are not being paid because his trucks are in dire need of repairs. We had a set of attic steps installed on Monday and Bill is fixing his truck this week too. Works for me.....lol. Patty.......who is George? Glad you are eating great and getting those workouts done. Nancy.....congratualtions on your dd graduation. I am sure you are really proud of her. Kat.....boot camp? Are you crazy lady, lol? Better you then me! Susan......please keep us posted on your test results too. Thyroid is tricky, I remember my mom going through all sorts of test. Laura......I find it comforting to read how close your family is and how strong your faith is. I am sure these values will carry Allison a long way in life.

I missed yesterday like many of you and its amazing how it feels when you do not know what your online buddies are doing. I had a busy day yesterday at the office, tried to stay on program all day and I was successful. I rejoined WW, yet again, on Tuesday. I had a fustrating night with hubby and right now men are on my sh*t list. Can I say that? Sometimes he has no clue what I do around here...........Argh!!!!

This morning I got Rob and Katie out the door for school and fell into a sluggish mood. I have done 2 batches of wash and I have run the dishwasher and that is it. I did wash half the kitchen floor, but its gross. Its so old and it traps the dirt in, that I am using a scrub brush on my mop to get it clean with Pine Sole Cleaner and then going back over it with Comet. Now half of it is drying and I need to go over it again with just water. Then the other half needs to get done. While the first half is drying I am heading upstairs to get dressed and make the beds. I am then going to finish the floor and then head over to the track and walk around a few times. I feel overwhelmed and fustrated and I think the walk will do me some good. I have a lingere party next door and I am looking forward to that. Hubby can just kiss my butt about dinner and fend for himself tonight. Katie and Rob will get some soup and grilled cheese and myself a WW frozen dinner. Plan to check back later and see how you all did today. You guys truely inspire me!

My thankful is that I did not kill hubby last night and I now have my job as my retreat. Gets me away from some of this household hell and it makes me feel like a real person!

Offering up cyber-hugs!

Is your floor vinyl/linoleum? I've found the best thing that works is ammonia, diluted but still pretty concentrated. I've done products with bleach and other cleaners, and I found I had to use them in combination (NOT combining ammonia and bleach of course). Other things just didn't do it like ammonia can on it's own. When you slosh it on and let it sit, then wipe, a lot of dirt will have been loosened. Ammonia is one of the ingredients in Brite, a floor cleaner/shiner, and I've always noticed that gets my linoleum cleaner than anything else, though every once in a while I'll use ammonia for a deep clean.

Ugh. You just reminded me that *I* need to do my kitchen and finish laundry.
