At the Doc's yesterday...

Usually going to the Doc's, especially the GYN or Dr. Spreadem as I call such appointments, is not something invoking humor. I'm not wild about annual GYN visits, as I'm sure no one is, but I like my OB-GYN. Laid back individual, always up for humor. He's the doc who had a greeting card with a cartoon drawing of "Condoms of the Rich and Famous" - Ross Perot's with big ears on the side, Michael Jackson's in the shape of a question mark, etc. This year, I noticed something new: In the hallway of his office, he's got a heavy oak decorative shelf, country style. On a wood bar on that shelf is draped a towel with the following saying:

My greatest fear is that there is no PMS

and this is my personality.

LOL! I've changed my tagline under my signature!

Appointment went smoothly. It was time for a mammogram again, and Doc suggested that the lab at the hospital next door can usually accomodate walk-ins. I figured I've already been poked, prodded and scraped so far, that I might as well go get flattened, too. Al was in Mom's Morning Out, and it was a perfect opportunity to get it out of my way instead of making yet another appointment for a must-do and not-real-fun procedure.

Due to appointments, caring for kids, vacuuming and choir, I didn't get a workout in yesterday. Looking forward to running and abs work today.

I just love that saying. I might just print a copy and pass it along to my friends! Hope your mam turns out fine, I hate getting those babies squished! But it must get done.....I think men should get their you know whats done just so they have a clue of what we go through!
