Good morning everyone!I spent 10 mins thinking of F words.Sheesh!!!!I finally went with basic and simple.I was reading over the posts from the week. What an incredible group this is!!!!Everyone has so much going on and juggles so much.So many health issues we're dealing with. We're raising kids, taking care of our parents, keeping husbands in line..We try hard to be there for our friends.Putting hours in at jobs, whether in the home or outside. And with all that, and so much more, we are truly make an effort to get our exercise in.That is no small deal.I hope everyone takes time to day to give themselves credit for all they juggle and for any amount of exercise they do.Never, ever say "I only did", because it all adds up.
Ok so what's up for today? What kind of fitness plans do you have?Any 15 min projects planned for today.Anybody thinking about diving into some decadent dessert before our challenge tomorrow??????:)
However you spend your day I hope it is filled with happy moments, smiles and the knowledge of how special you each are.Love you guys!

Now you've sparked my interest. A "Better Than Sex" cake? Hmmm.....what, pray tell, is in it?
Have a wonderful and safe trip Nancy. We'll talk to you next week.

Well, I'm stuck at a -9 lb. rut. Heck I'm not calling it a plateau anymore!!! I was down ten, went up one and the scale ain't moving! *$#( Serves me right though, because I haven't exactly been getting my workouts in. So, it's really important for me to commit to this challenge this month. I need to get back on the right track and dig myself out of this exercise pit!!! Eating healthy is not a problem for me. I think I've pretty much got that under control. There's been an apple pie around here for a couple of days (courtesy of FIL) and I haven't even wanted a piece. In fact, last night when dh was having a piece, I grabbed an apple and thoroughly enjoyed it. The thought of the sweetness of the apple pie almost made me gag!
Today's plans, are slightly changed. Adam didn't go to school this morning as there is a big general strike in progress here. The provincial government is battling with the Health Employees Union. In turn, the Canadian Union of Public Employees and the Ferry Workers Union has become involved. Quite the mess. The CUPE (custodians, secretaries and maintenance workers) are picketing schools and the teachers aren't crossing the picket lines, hence no school today! No ferry service off the island either.
15 minute project...take the empty bottles and cans to the recycle depot this morning.
I had a big house clean on Wednesday and remarkably it's still tidy, so I'm off the hook there. Since it's so nice and warm and sunny, I'm thinking park. In fact, the one just down the road has a chip track. Hmmm....maybe I need to shake up my workout a bit!!!
Tomorrow will be a hot day at the beach!
Have an awesome day my friends!
Trying to keep on truckin'.... Got a call from my sister this morning that Dad's blood pressure was way back up. She, my other sister, and I thought they released him too soon with all this med. experimentation going on. Mom called my niece in MD to talk to her husband, the certified nurse practitioner, instead of "bothering" one of us. I just can't get through to her about that. Anyway, now she seems to think they're not doing him any good either, and it will be doubly hard to get them to take action without her encouraging him. Thing is, for all we know, he could have had another stroke if we hadn't gotten him over there to get drugs immediately and be monitored. Plus, I'd rather go and not have the emergency than to have it and not go. I've been on the phone with Lisa a few times about it (Also, today's her birthday.) and talked to Dad too. His blood pressure came down some this afternoon, but I don't want them to wait until late if it starts going up again. This stuff of staying up all night when we don't have to is for the birds. If we take action during office hours, a dr. might direct admit him and bypass all the ER garbage.
Anyway, I'm scrubbing some floors and trying to make myself catch up on cleaning this poor house, fighting the urge to take a nap. The overcast sky isn't helping. I thought we were going to get some rain, but it sprinkled about 5 minutes and stopped.
Thanks for all your good wishes and messages of support.
Hugs to you all!
Rhonda

As you can tell, it's been a zoo, so enough said about that. Workout tonight will be brief - cardio and LB. Having dinner with DH and one of my fun coworkers and her fiance. She is a breath of fresh air in this office - it's nice to have someone around who's not afraid to laugh OUT LOUD and make the most of her day. We're going for Thai food; something a bit different from the norm. I might turn up the spiciness factor a bit - finish clearing up my head.
Weekend plans? Nothing firm. DH wants to dig into the house plans a bit more so he'll be working on that for a good part of at least one day. He wants to present the plans to some design/build contractors early in June. I'm hoping to drag him to Cape Cod on Saturday since it's going to be nice and Sunday is bringing the rain back later. I can do some yard work Sunday before the rains return.
Nancy - Have fun at DD's graduation and congratulations to her on her achievement. That cake has peaked my interest. You need to explain yourself!
Linda - Don't wait, take care of that cold fast. Make sure it's just a cold. I think I'm going to be coughing into July.
Rhonda - Sorry to hear your dad's BP is so unstable again (still?). I can't imagine the toll it's taking on all of you.
Susan - After the week you've had at work, you've earned some hammock time. I'll send down a margarita and a cabana boy for you - I know I've seen one somewhere around here.
Patty - Congratulations to your son. He's really turned things around, and you have every reason to be a proud mom.
Sassy - You are a brave woman! Sending you a medal on a pink ribbon. Hope you and the girls have a great evening.
Shar - One 5-YO boy on a weekend just about did me in. Another brave woman. Sending you a medal on a blue ribbon. And a crate of vitamins.....
Hope you're all enjoying your afternoons!

Patty, thanks for all those kind words. Its funny we all know what we do on a single day but it just means so much to know what others think. You are correct this one terrific group of ladies!
