I survived the slumber party, but I'm too old for slumber parties. I refused to look at the clock...it would just send me into a rage! Especially since Flo started this a.m. and I haven't taken a chill pill in days. All I heard all evening/night was, "he's SOOOOO hot"..."oooooooohhhhhhh, I just LOVE him". And then there was the slumber party standard...Truth or Dare. The girls had fun, which is all that matters and, more importantly, DH was gone and I didn't have to calm him down!
So we have a really busy day today. No workout, again! It's amazing how guilt-free I'm feeling about it. I guess I needed a break. But I need to gather myself and get back to it Monday morning. Last night I ate way too many twizzlers, one slice of pepperoni pizza (I don't even LIKE pepperoni pizza) and a big slice of ice cream birthday cake. Food just does not agree with me anymore!
Have a great day, gurls.

No set plans for me. I am having a lazy morning. Bill is talking about taking Katie out east for a few runs on her car. If so I am thinking about weeding our front garden bed and then hitting my treadmill for an hour. Might head over to the nail place and have them done. This set is horrible and he did a lousy job. I really hate that. At 4 days I had 2 broken. Trying to stay on points this weekend will be a biggie for me. I think a quick run too over to the grocery store to stock up on some fresh veggies and fruit.
Have a great weekend everyone, and the sun is shinning here in NY........yeah!!!!!

Just had to head out into the morning sunshine. I needed the sunshine and some major head cleaning. I took a different route this morning and enjoyed the change of pace. It seemed like the walk was taking me forever until I got home and checked my pedometer and realized I had walked almost 4 miles. Now that my new front door is off the floor and in place and looking very nice I might add I can finally attack some housecleaning a little better. Well, better get at it. Hope you're all enjoying a sunny day too!

The sun's shining here today, so we I guess we will head off to the beach. I'm really enjoying our unseasonably warm weather, however a guy from the forestry service was on the news last night and he said that he hasn't seen it this dry in the 29 years he's been working the area!!! So, that does not bode well for forest fires this summer. They are talking about already putting the rating at high if any wind comes up!
I've got lots of veggies in the house, so eating shouldn't be a big problem this weekend. I went to the grocery store yesterday afternoon because I just *hate* going there on the weekend. It's a zoo!
I made turkey burgers yesterday with finely chopped spinach, grated zucchini, some finely diced yellow pepper and cumin and marjoram. They were really yummy and didn't dry out when they were on the grill.
I don't know if I'll get a workout in today, but I'm all pumped for the Walk It Off Challenge that starts on Monday. Not even going near the scale today. I put all my food into Fitday yesterday and it was way high on sodium, so I just *know* I'll weight heavy today.
Hope you all have a great and relaxing day today!
Shar
Thanks,

iVillage is having a 6 week "Walk Off the Weight Challenge". http://www.ivillage.com/diet/walkitoff/pages/0,,408529_623938,00.html?ice=spn,reb,wioc,iv,mnp_mkt
Not exactly sure what it entails, but I guess we'll find out soon enough.
"Survived" is probably the appropriate word.
Woke up late & had to go into Dillard's - on lunch break now. I am supposed to start my challenge today, so will have to do it after 6 p.m. On today's calendar it's strength training w/cardio bursts intermingled. Tomorrow, only have to work 1-5 p.m. so will have plenty of time to do my running (cardio only day).
Won't get to the fitness club until 5 a.m. Mon. - can't wait!
Well, gotta' run. Will try to catch up on the board later, but Susan I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! I hate that you had such news from the doctor's!
Have a dry day everyone!
We're having a heck of an electrical storm here. Major lightning bolts and thunder and a real downpour, which we need. It rained hard for a while yesterday afternoon, but we didn't have all the lightning. Got in a good 5 1/2 hours at the beach today and found lots of sharks' teeth, including several "beauties,"

I'll keep you all in my prayers.
