Where is the "yawning" icon????

Whew. Glad yesterday is OVER. Hit the ground running early yesterday morning and finally hit the bed at 10:45 last night. Exhausted, with a migraine, sinus issues, blah, blah, blah.

Have completely blown off Sunday School and probably church today! Kids are still asleep and they need it! Brett's baseball game ran from 7:30-10:00...in the pouring rain.

Having said all that...it is GREAT to be alive, isn't it????

What's your game plan for the day?

I'm doing odd jobs around here this morning (and trying not to feel guilty about not going to church) and will hop on the treadmill since it's raining. Brett has a game at 1:00 today and unless it's lightning and thundering, we were told to show up. Ugh.

DH and oldest DS come home sometime today. Due to family issues and personalities involved in the fishing expedition...DH was unable to relax and enjoy himself and time with our oldest. No matter how many times I told him, "it's about you and Shawn, not your family". So, it will be interesting to see what sort of mood they will be in when they get home tonight. Tomorrow morning he heads back out of town for the week on a business trip. I'm SUCH a good wife :)

Okay...it's May. Everyone should be ready for summer and bathing suit weather, right????? I am...NOT. So, what are we going to do about it?

I say it's time to KICK IT UP A NOTCH. That's right...time to kick the cellulite BOOTY. Time to get serious about our eating. Time to kick Rodney's Butt in Yoga. Time to break the land speed records in running (or walking, or strolling)...whatever it is you do. Time to shake it up. Be sure to check out the posts under Roll Call for The Power. Whether you participate in the bible study or not.

I'm ready. Who's with me? (Picture John Belushi pep talk to the frat brothers in Animal House.)

Hugs.

Sassy

Mornin'All,

It is a sleepy Sunday. It's gray, gloomy and probably going to rain. They say it's going to 71 today but it's sure not going to feel that way.

There will no workout for me today. My knees and hips are both screaming at me from the 4 mile walk yesterday. There are days where I just feel where I'm just doing something wrong because these old bones are killing me.

DH and I got up for early church this morning and then he treated me to breakfast at IHOP. Delicious! I have millions of things to do including going to the grocery store-usually it's a Friday after work thing but I was waiting for the call to the doctor and then after talking to them just didn't feel like going. Never got there yesterday between housecleaning and trying to pick out new bathroom tile. Talk about confusing-I've never done a bathroom from scratch before. Picking out wall tile and then floor tile. I am so confused. At least I know what I don't like. Anyway, trying not to get overwhelmed with the catch up that my brain is telling me needs to be done but just am so not in the mood for. So instead I scheduled myself for a manicure and a cut and color. Oldest DD surprised me with an early mother's day present yesterday. She bought me a new spring outfit complete with accessories (because according to her an outfit is just not complete without coordinating accessories) and even a new handbag. So I'm hoping the weather warms up a bit this week so I can wear it and hoping some fresh polish on my nails and freshening up the cut and color of my hair will brighten my mood and the day. DS actually asked me to watch a movie with him after he finishes up work this afternoon. Just can't pass up a date with my son!

So that's my day. If you've got some sun hoping that you can get out to enjoy it!

Know what a bad sign is?When you get on the scale and then say "Ok, everyone else off!!!!!".And then of course you realize you are the only one on the scale!!!!Bring on that May Challenge!!!!

I'm heading to my treadmill soon. Then it's the usual Cl stuff for today.I had a cold come on yesterday, Flo is knocking on the door and I'm into my 3rd week with no chocolate.I feel a whine coming on.

Have a good one gang!

How about this for an icon ? I was about to post "Serene Sunday", but it's more like a "Sedative Sunday" and you beat me to it anyway! It's starting to rain here too - we need it - and for reasons unknown, I'm not motivated to attend church/choir today either. I think we're all catching up on sleep here, too. Let's play hookey together, Sassy!

I'm ready to kick it up a notch. I've been doing it since last Thursday and I'm loving it. Yesterday I ran 4 miles in 40'36", woohoo!, today I'll be doing UB/LB work with abs. Taking the cue from the article Phyllis posted on abs definitiion (though the author has never had children nor does he deal with hormonal imbalance of perimenopause and what physical changes both of them cause!), I did abs yesterday and slowed down the pace, though I worked just about as long with the tape. The slowed pace of crunching slower and holding a second or two longer made me "feel" the exercises again - maybe one of the kicks I need.

Not sure what else I have on tap today, maybe start swapping seasonal wardrobes. Al's will be easier, since hers are out (where I store 'em after buying them), just not in her dresser. Maybe a bit more clean up in my sewing area, plotting a few sewing projects.

Hi, Sassy. What a great pep talk! You're right, I need to shake it up and lose the cellulite booty. On today's boot camp calendar, I'm heading out for Cardio Distance. I warm up with a 5 min. brisk walk. Then run 4 min./walk 2 min. - repeating cycle of run/walk 6-8 times for a total of 41-53 min. I'm heading out at 10 a.m.

Tomorrow is Power Play & I have to wake up before 5 a.m. to get it done as it will be new to me. I do 10-12 reps of duck lunges/hammer curls & plie' jump squats back-to-back (superset) then do 2 cardio drills (think I'll try lateral shuffle & jab & jump combo). I repeat this process twice. I continue to superset plank pose push-ups, kneeling side plank w/side kicks, hip lifts, one-legged combo rows, wall squat pull-aways, & shoulder burners. I end it with 2-3 sets of ab twists. Apparently, as the month moves on I put more cardio drills in & up the sets to 3 & up the weights.

No SS this week - wah! The church is meeting at our coliseum (high school) for a fundraiser. I have to work so won't be able to attend.

I feel a little better, but still queasy. Got on the scale & it's down a couple more lbs. I'm ready to lose the rest!

I finally bought something really cute & classic for casual wear! Dillard's had a 30% off the sale price so I bought some neat Ralph Lauren khaki ankle length pants w/belt & a cute pink Ralph Lauren top to match the pink in the belt. Now I'll look "chic" at the baseball games. I think I'll wear it to work Monday, too.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone.

Morning ladies, raining here yet again. They did predict this but I was hoping they were going to be wrong. Had a full outside day yesterday which felt great. Today should be a little lower keyed around here. Although Bill is outside planting a tree we bought yesterday and just did not get into the ground. We were up early, for us anyhow, 8:00. We usually tend to sleep until 9 something on Sundays (non race ones at least). We had our morning coffee in the livingroom and then he headed off to the shower while I did my 2 mile WAP video. Then showered and headed off to church. Guys who skipped it today, I do not think God will notice. He is probley in shock and scratching his head by seeing me there. Felt really good. I just had my bowl of cereal and planned out my WW points for tonights meal so I know where I stand for the rest of my day. I think after I fold this batch of laundry I might take a ride over to Kohls for a black short sleeved sweater I was looking at, and then over to Target for another Rubbermaid bin to store all my Easter stuff that is still sitting on the floor here in my livingroom. Probley head over to my sisters to pick up my lingere from her show a few weeks ago, that is in and then home to maybe sew on some of Katie's girl scout badges. Gee, maybe even read a book or a magazine this afternoon. Who knows!!
