Sleepy Sunday Check-in

Hope your Sundays are going well! Did you get your workout in or "your" time in today?

What fun things did you do?

I'm off to work in a little bit until 5 p.m. I did the workout according to my calendar but it was a poopy performance. Guess that had to be from not eating for 13 hours & running with a weak constitution. Hopefully, I will get better at it as the month wears on. I spent the full 51 min. on the trail and gratefully, the running got easier - it's that first 4 min. I couldn't do! I DO love the lung burn and runner's high, though. You kind of get hooked on it. Saw a few cute young ladies out running (without the large rear end I haul)! I envy them. They had on tiny runner shorts and t-shirts & were all tanned and cute with their hair in ponytails & baseball caps. I can imagine Princess looking like that out running.

Nothing planned for this evening. I may watch "Master and Commander".

LOL Far be it for me to shatter any illusions but that is so not me when I run.I usually run just after working in CL and long before a shower. No cute looks here I'm afraid.

Kat, I picked up that issue Of Shape. That is an impressive workout you are taking on.I don't think I'm coordinated enough to do that! Please post how you like it as you get into it.

I was inspired by Sassys post this morning.I got on my treadmill and really worked at my speed this morning.I want to try to mix up my runs with short ones and long ones during the week.Had fun last week adding the step workout in too.

Not much going on here today, just a quiet day in the kingdom.

Kept fairly busy here. Did my 2 miles before church, ate well all day, did some laundry, ran to my sisters, and the store. Decided to go to dinner at the diner tonight instead of cooking. Had grilled chicken breast over a tossed salad for dinner. Going to head upstairs and put my PJ's on and then settle down for a cup of sliced strawberries with some cool whip on top. Rob and Katie are both in bed and I am not far behind. Work tomorrow and I know the morning will be busy.

Another day at the beach in spite of iffy weather. There were plenty of clouds off-and-on, but we didn't get rain at the beach. By afternoon, the wind was very strong though. It did rain inland at our house. Tim was able to get the lawn mowed before it started. He seems to be feeling a good bit better than he was, I'm happy to report.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered Aunt Flo had tagged along to the beach with no warning yesterday! I found 119 sharks' teeth, a new record for me. Several are reallyl nice ones.

I'm sure you look cute when you're out in CL or your service guy wouldn't say the things he says to you . . .

I'm sure I'm not coordinated enough for the boot camp, but maybe it will help the coordination and I might have some fun along the way! I'll let you know.

Didn't work out, but got a TON of organizing done on photos. I was keeping spares from packs that I've already placed in my photo albums going back to 1998, and meanwhile I'd run out of space in the boxes and had resorted to just tossing the packs on a pile. Out of control! I went through the packs and pulled out the duplicates and pictures that just didn't turn out as well as I'd liked. I'll let the grandparents go through the duplicates, and toss out the rest. I'd not been able to do it before because most of them are of Allison from her baby days forward, and they are so darn CUTE... but how many pics do I need of Dan, me and Gramps sitting next to Allison in her bouncer seat on her first Christmas? Not 9, and between us and two sets of grandparents, some poses we ended up with at least a half-dozen.

I also went through about 3 years' worth of greeting cards which had stacked up. I keep the ones from The Cus (and now from Allison), and keep any others that are either very funny or have special meaning. That's another thing I'd been meaning to do.

I might add that both of these come on the heels of organizing my coupons on Thursday and Friday. I've been on a roll! So, no work out yesterday, but these have been feel-good tasks that I'd been wanting to do, and they were perfect to do on a rainy day.
