My DD's Volleyball team is called the Maroon Maniacs. Thought Maniac fit the bill this morning.

Rain and more rain. But the good part is that it looks like the rain will cancel the baseball games on schedule for this evening. I wouldn't mind that! Two baseball games and volleyball practice and one parent - you do the math.

Dropped DH off at the metro (rail) around 6:00 for his trip out of town this weekend. I think his flight leaves around 7:30. We did get to spend a lot of quality time together yesterday afternoon and evening. But I miss him when he's out of town. Especially at night. I just don't sleep as well. During the day I'm so busy, I don't have time to miss him.

So today...treadmill, abs and chest.

Rhonda, I'm back on the coffee in the morning. I missed it for a number of reasons! I combine decaf and regular beans. Hope Tim and your dad are doing better today.

Phyllis, I'm ready to start the bible study. Still working my way thru Calm my Anxious Heart. I'm really enjoying it. Contentment. Just the word calms me.

Susan, hope you have a much better week.

Kat, tell us the truth...you were on that nudist party boat that flipped over on a lake in Austin, weren't you????? What a way to meet single men!

Patty forgets I've met her and I can tell you she fits the bill for the flying pony tail, baseball cap, skimpy shorts running image.

Nancy, hope you all get some much needed rain.

I know there are things I wanted to mention about other ladies, but my brain is in a fwog (as my 8 year old still calls FOG).

Check in later with your brags.

Hugs.

Sassy

Good morning-

I'm having one of those morning that a million things are twirling through your mind at once and I can seem to get a grip on any of them.

Good Morning,

It's another rainy, gloomy day here. Sort of fits my mood du jour. I was awake for what seemed like hours last night. Between DH's snoring, my head going in a million different directions and DS had one of his late nights and if I wake up before he gets in there is just no sleep until I hear that car door and his key in the door lock and my oldest DD complaining of pains in her upper chest. Needless to say I overslept and there was no workout this morning. Probably just as well because I'm still working out the stiff joints from Saturday. I just can't seem to walk that type of distance without paying the price for about 2 days afterwards. Also woke up to a soggy car because moi thinking she was going out again yesterday left the window of my car open and of course it rained last night. Apparently not enough to do any damage but just very annoying. We have also discovered we have at least one furry rodent living in the house (although as of this morning it is deceased) and that just creeps me out. Hopefully there are no other family members. YUCK! I guess that's enough whining from me. I'm hoping there actually is an office meeting this morning so that situation can be taken care of and I hope a phone call to this new doctor will bring about an appointment very soon.

Be there Rain or shine in your neck of the woods I hope Maniac Monday and Life brings you good things.

"Moist" Monday here with more rain. The ground has gotten pretty soggy, but we're supposed to have rain throughout the week.

Cheryl is flying in from MD Thursday, so I hope the weather will be good for her flight and for her visit. I think we're caught up on rain now.

I started the morning off like a maniac. Alarm went off and I thought, "OK, I'll get right up." Next thing I new it was 5 minutes before we usually leave!! I don't know what happened. I don't even remember thinking I was tired, I just went back OUT. So, I raced to get Rob moving and got him to school about 8 minutes before it started. Since it's raining, traffic was terrible.

Haven't decided what I'll do today other than to do some follow-up on info. I promised to people at the Senior Expo. This kind of weather just wipes me out. Legs are still sore from all the walking and squatting this weekend. I have to do something to tone down the new hair color from last night.

After not working out yesterday but doing lots of "behind the scenes" organization, I'm ready to get back into it today. UB workout and abs for certain. Not sure if I'll do LB or get a 3-mile run in later today (I ran 4 miles on Saturday at a very good pace!). Depends on the weather - I'm not ready to run in the rain yet, but it should be clearning up and starting to cool down again.

I've got a haircut appointment today, and Al's got gymnastics. Other than that, I need to do a bit of grocery shopping and begin menu planning for the next week or so though I might not shop for that yet since it'll be a bigger trip. I'll be doing the kitchen floors today, bathrooms tomorrow.

Yep, I read the foreward and 1st chapter, Phyllis. Thanks for conducting this study with us. These questions will be difficult for me to answer, but hopefully I will grow from this study. Will think about my answers today and post them later.

Maniac Monday is right!

We slept through two alarms again this morning. After my being up all night coughing again, I'm not surprised. We didn't turn up the speed getting out. We're both too darn tired, and late is late, anyway, so I'll hang around here a couple hours later and get the proposal that's due tomorrow at 11 am done and ready for someone to drive out first thing in the morning. I don't trust FedEx to get it there on time - their "early" delivery time and the deadline are too close for comfort.

Going to hit the workout hard tonight when I get home, tired or not. After almost three weeks of so-so exercise, I feel and see my quads getting mushy and I worked too hard to strengthen them to let them go over a bad cold. Triceps, biceps and calves are still ok, hammies and abs don't look any worse. My legs do feel weak under me, though - more from being tired out than lack of workout, I hope. I may sacrifice dinner tonight to get the workout done - nothing more than soup and a couple of turkey/cheese stick rollups. Lunch looks ok - assuming I get the chance to eat it.

Rhonda - That hair color that I started using - apparently all the people who used to use the old one I liked have also gone lighter. I can't find it anywhere. When I do, I'm stocking up. Glad to hear your sister is coming down to lend a hand.

Susan - Hope you get to see the endocrinologist soon.

Sassy - I read your post from Saturday. Not interested in food? What bug is that, and could you send it this way? Not really, I've had enough with being under the weather, but I hope you're feeling better. Russell will be home before you know it.

Hope you all have a good start to the new week!

Well that's the first time I've seen my name and nudist in the same sentence! No, Sassy, I had trouble being a nudist with my ex when I was married . . . I'll have to search the news for that story! I heard Austin was a party town, but didn't think it was that wild.

First day of strength training from the boot camp & yikes that was hard!!! I can't do the hip lift - I hope I can do it by the end of the month. I could do the other stuff, but the ab twists, plank pushups, plie' squats & those wall squats were killer!! My thighs are already sore. When I do a killer strength training workout, I always sweat alot more than when I do my running. I was a mess this a.m.

Yippee, I'm off the next 2 nights, although tonite I'm "working for ds" - taking him to get his contacts & followup exam, feeding him, and taking him to his baseball game. I should start charging him, huh? LOL!

Have a magnificent Monday everyone!
