Rhonda--I've missed the updates last week on Tim and you needing an additional mammogram.

Hello all! I got my Mother's Day card yesterday and will send it off w/monetary gift today. My poor mom keeps calling me & I'm never home so I'm going to give her a quick ring today. Of course, I always call her on Mother's Day too!

Those TSO people (optical) let me down yesterday! Had to reschedule ds tonight & of course the little bugger needs a haircut! After that and dinner I am off to the fitness center to get my cardio in - which will be a run. If an elliptical is free, I want to try that, too.

Sheesh, I'm sore from yesterday's workout! I've been in dire need of motivation to work out with weights and after this month's boot camp, I plan to do Kathy Smith Weights for Weight Loss (I picked 2 dvd pack at Walmart last night along with some more fitness mags. I need some new workouts!). Think I will buy an inexpensive bench too, soon. Hopefully I will be upping the weights soon and will have to buy a new set.

So glad no baseball practice (they sure do need it though - ds & his friend Kyle scored the only 2 runs & of course they lost. They haven't had a practice in weeks!) - that's one good thing going for my night off! :o)

Have a great day, everyone!

Mom's...mine has been calling and calling and I'm never home. She finally called me early this morning and we chatted. She started out, "I've called and called and you're never home..." with THAT tone in her voice and I said, "Mom...we have games, practices, work, church, husband out of town..." and she said, "I know, Honey" with a much different tone. Lord knows I love that woman, but it's a struggle sometimes to actually like her! I'm positive she thinks the same about me at times!

My cleaning folks showed up AFTER I gave up waiting on them. They were supposed to be at the house by 8:15. She knows I had to go to work and that I waited until 1:00 for them yesterday. That's the end of that issue. They are outta here. Frankly, my children are surprised I rescheduled for this morning...have I ever mentioned that they won't go to McDonald's with me because I embarrass them. I get so tired of patronizing, you-owe-me service people. I usually end of having to speak with the manager, who is normally at 20 year old smartie pants. Much to my children's chagrin...

:)

Good morning,

Rain in our neck of the woods today, but I'm not complaining. We desperately need it for the gardens and the forests which are tinder dry. So, I won't be getting my workout in outside. It'll be 30 minutes on the Stairmaster for me today.

Then when dh gets back from his call, I'm off to the grocery store to stock up on the good stuff again. My veggy bins are looking a bit bare these days.

Have a good one ladies.

I'm beginning to get that attitude about customer service, myself! I've about had it with the Dillard's salespeople!! I don't treat people as badly as they do - case in point, myself. I clocked out at 6 p.m. Sat. & went shopping. Didn't have my nametag on and had my purse in hand. One sales lady had the gall to ask me if I was off the clock, then proceeded to tell me how I should clock back in & work for her. Would I mind bringing my sale to her 'cause she hadn't had any sales, blah blah blah! I assured her I would be back there working the very next day (but made the mistake of telling her I was fortunate this year to be scheduled off on Mother's Day, to which she started ranting that she was a mother too & why didn't she get it off!). All of this said to a good Dillard's customer - me!!! I was so ticked & no, she didn't get my sale & yes I intend to at least write an anonymous letter about how rude she was - & this wasn't the first time I've had to deal with a rude one. I know they are rude to other customers too & it's a crying shame! There are alot of people out there who need jobs and enjoy serving customers - just wish employers such as Dillard's would reward the people who are polite and serving to the customers & get rid of the ones who are not. However, sales per hour means more to them (hence the lying, stealing & bad attitudes from sales people abound) & that's what our pay scale is based upon.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Linda, I meant to post to you the other day that you are becoming such a pro at the running!! I'm so impressed with your distance & time! Keep up the great workouts, girlie! Are you still doing the Firm, too? I like the Firm, but sometimes I just want to do a quick warmup & do weights without that fanny lifter! So I will alternate them & Kathy Smith weights workout.

What's the plan for the runs (that didn't come out right) this week?
