Thanks, Phyllis. I tried posting last night, but my computer froze up and I lost the whole long post. Sorry I was so late getting to it, but I was on the run all day yesterday. Also, sorry I'm behind on the study, but I will catch up. Tim's results are kind of involved, so I'll just copy an email he sent me with my comments in red:
""The doctor gave me the results of all the tests and they are as follows:
1) The bleeding was caused by a small lesion on the liver that showed up in the CT scan, there may be a little cyst that is causing this to happen and they are going to send me for an ultrasound to get a better look. (The dr. didn't seem concerned, but I'm a little anxious about this).
2) The CT scan of the brain and sinuses showed substantial sinus infection and a deviated right septum. This would be what was causing the dizziness, and they are putting me on another antibiotic to handle that. (It seems to be clear, but this is just to be sure).
3) The blood test showed that my glucose is higher than it should be which could be a precursor to diabetes, but the doctor is not overly concerned at this point. (It is borderline. He stopped using sugar in his coffee about a year ago. The infection could have caused his glucose reading to be high).
4) My bad cholesterol is high, my good cholesterol is low so they are going to put me on medication for that.
5) They are going to put me on blood pressure medicine to try to minimize the fluctuations and maintain a lower diastolic number.
Rhonda I am glad your test turned out fine. That I am sure is a huge relief. I am sure you are glad that Tim's results now give him a chance to take medicine to get better. I hope he feels better. Your Dad's BP is alarming. Especially the time it seems to spike. Is he on a dose that is time released? Does he take a dose before bed and its a the end of the meds wearing off? Lots of luck with this, I am sure he is on a special diet like low salt and stuff. You my dear have alot going on and you are in my thoughts! Glad you had a great time at the concert!
Alright , Rhonda, young ones!!!!!LOL Glad you got good news.Sounds like Tim got alot of news and has alot going on.Hope he starts feeling better soon.So sorry to hear of your dads bp going up like that.Know that must be a big concern for you all.Keeping everyone in my thoughts.
So glad you enjoyed the concert, sounds like alot of fun!
Rhonda so glad that everything went well with your mammo and that Tim is finally getting some answers. Hope your dad's bp stabalizes soon. Continuing to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm mostly relieved to hear the medical update - great for you (and a nice compliment to boot!), and at least that very thorough doctor of Tim's has narrowed things down. I do hope it turns out to be nothing - keeping my fingers crossed and saying prayers; I'd be concerned over the results of the scan, too.
The concert sounds awesome. Popping my EWF greatest hits CD back into the player as we speak.....
And I didn't mean to overlook you dad's problems. Are they looking for some identifiable physical thing that could be causing the BP spikes, or are they just attributing it to his age? How's your mom holding up?
I'll keep Tim and your dad in my prayers, Rhonda. So glad you had a great time at Earth, Wind and Fire. That was required party music when I was in college! Loved them.
So relieved your mammo came out well, you spring chickie you! Keep us posted on Tim and your dad.
