Alright! A post with hooties whoopin a**!!!!That's the way to start things!:)
Looks like a beautiful day ahead for us.Maybe a shower later but hopefully mostly sunny.
Flo came in like a lion yesterday! She brought a pounding headache which I still have today.Trying to shake it off and show her who is boss.If I do , I plan to do a treadmill/step workout later. If not I have a ton of work to get done around here.Going to go fill up my water pitcher and make sure I drink today.
Phyllis, I'm thinking about trying Loreals new self tanner.I use a self tanner early on but by summers end I have crazy tan lines from running and yard work.
I wore my new running bra top yesterday. It was so comfy to run in but getting it off was unbelieveable!!!!
I'm off to see what my chickens are into.In CL you go into a small room and then into the area where the birds are.Yesterday something came loose on the door in between and I had about 100 birds in the wrong place! That was fun!!!
Well, still feeling raspy-throated, but I'll be running this morning. I have a new CD player to try out. First though, after dropping Allison off at Mom's Morning Out (last one), I'll be steaming the last two rooms I need to do so that I can return my friend's steam vac. In running, I'm aiming for 4 miles, though I might slow the pace today.
I also need to bake a dessert for choir tonight, though I'm not sure I'll be going. Depends on how I feel.
Kat, I am still doing the Firm about twice a week, mainly the Body Sculpt. On running days I try to do the UB with weights, and on non-running days do that tape with the LB weights and fanny lifter. The LB workout really helps my legs in running. I've slacked off in the last few days, but did well the week before. I'll do the cardio warm up before running, too.
Whoop-a** is right - there's a full workout on my agenda. My feet were killing me after the Costco triathlon Tuesday evening (and I did more running around in there than usual - back and forth instead of up and down the aisles - gotta remember to tell DH to stay in the car!!!), and said feet were in no mood to be confined to running shoes when I got home. Plus, we bought more than usual and didn't bring bags or boxes, so unloading the car took many more steps. There's plenty of toilet paper, though!!
Another day of good eating on the horizon today. I have to keep preparing things in advance so they'll be ready to containerize and bag up in the morning instead of just winging it every day (and ending up dining in downtown Boston - the fastest route to bankruptcy I know of). That's the only way I can stick with mindful eating.
That being said, I didn't take anything out of the freezer and there are no leftovers in the fridge, so I have no clue what dinner could be this evening. Que sera, sera.....
Looking forward to the weekend - the Princess (sorry, Patty, there's a 6-YO waiting in the wings up north with royal aspirations and the attitude to carry it off) has her dance recital Saturday and I'm dying to see it. We'll be gathering at my sister's house afterward for an early Mother's Day celebration. I'll have my mom over for dinner Sunday, and we'll take dessert and have it at my in-laws' apartment afterward - my mother-in-law wants to stay home quietly, so that will work out perfectly. And my sister will have a nice quiet (?!) day at home with her hubby and kids.
Hope the headache goes away, Pattycakes! I wish they'd make sports bras with a clasp in front - although those kind of bras are tight so getting it clasped might be difficult.
I haven't found a sports bra that I like to be honest.
Hope you feel better, Patty. It seems like you haven't had the headache problem lately - or it's been so bad you don't want to talk about it. Sorry AF brought that in her bag of goodies for you.
Good morning Phyllis and everyone. I've heard more than once that tanning beds are more dangerous than the sun, so I never get into those things anymore. I love the sun, but with my fair skin, I try to apply the SPF 30 or more. I try to remember to always put the SPF 15 on face, neck & chest even in winter. I'm lucky to get the self-tanner on once a week - I never have tan lines because I just never get much color.
I did a 2 mile powerwalk (I had to really keep myself from posting "just"). Today was a rest day according to my boot camp calendar, but I think one day a week of rest is enough for me when I need to lose a few lbs. Tomorrow, I have a rough one with the strength training/cardio mix.
Today we eat out at a Mexican food restaurant - oh boy! I guess I'll have a chicken fajita with a tiny dab of guacamole & skip the sour cream. Maybe they have some kind of fruit on their menu.
My most productive time of day is usually a.m. although lately, I have more energy at night. What's up with that?? Maybe it's all the pills I pop (the niacin & aspirin for the cholesterol, the bc pill, and my multi) at night before bed.
I'm hoping my a** isn't whooped by day's end with all of this work! Hope everyone's day is a kick!
Good morning hotties! Love your header Phyllis! I'm just betting the ladies on this board could whoop the a$$ of a lot of people! :)
Gonna be a busy day around here today. Max and I are accompanying Adam on a school field trip to a nature preserve this morning. Oh joy, I get to chauffeur a mini van full of kindergarten kids! Should be interesting! As for work out, I'm sure we'll get a few miles in at walking around this morning. If it doesn't seem to be another and the weather co-operates some, maybe the boys and I will take a jaunt back to the park this afternoon and I can get some more laps around the track. UB Weights are also on the agenda for me at some point. That darn scale is still holding and won't budge, but that's okay. I'm a patient person. NOT!
Don't have a clue what we are having for dinner. Maybe I'll pull out the lamb chops from the freezer. The Chicken w/proscuitto was delicious last night. I stuffed it with some fresh spinach and mozza too! I'll definitely be making that again!
Tanning....au natural. I try to remember to put sunscreen on, but sometimes forget. Never been in a tanning bed and the only time I've used self-tanners (many moons ago) it was a disaster. Streaky, etc.
