I met with the endroconologist today. I actually ended up going to someone other than who my doctor had recommended since it took them almost 3 days to get back to me to set up an appointment and couldn't tell me whether they accepted my insurance or not. Bless my DH's heart he inquired around amongst his coworkers and found the wife of someone who has had almost the identical thyroid problem as myself. We talked for a while and she gave me the name of her doctor. I called his office and had an appointment the next day. He was very reassuring and he was able to do the needle biopsy right in his office. I won't say that was a pleasant experience in fact it was rather unpleasant but it was probably better to get it over with. Although I'm really glad I didn't know it was going to happen. DH was actually going to come with but I convinced him that it wasn't necessary since I didn't think that procedure would happen today. Anyway, that portion is done and now it's just waiting for probably about a week for the results. I even got the sonogram picture of the cyst as a souvenior-wondering where I should hang such a lovely item!
So that's my tale of woe for the week and next week will be a week of results first from my latest blood test and for the biopsy results. It will certainly be interesting to see how my blood pressure has reacted to all of this
I feel a bit more relieved now that this portion is over and maybe my mind will go back into a better frame of mind.
