I paid $1.81.9 yesterday, I but I heard it went over $2. out by the airport. It's always a rip-off out there.

It was 93 here yesterday and is supposed to be hot again today. Mom and Dad have painters at their house working. They did pressure washing yesterday. I told my sisters I'd like for us to replace the shutters they have with the kind you never have to paint again and add some shutters to their two large main windows. The house has never had them, and for over 40 years I've thought it should. We'll have to take down a wall mounted mailbox to do it and replace it with a freestanding one. The painter said he'd mount the shutters for us. So, we'll be heading out to Home Depot and/or Lowe's. We'd planned to do some yardwork, but now we're thinking

Well, didn't do the full workout yesterday, but I did run my two miles... Drumroll, please... which included a complete run up Big Hill! I made it to the crest - panting all the way, but I made it! I walked about 100 feet afterwards to catch my breath, and then resumed running. Even though it was a tough run, being a shorter one didn't bother the hip. Overall, 2.1 miles in about 21 or 22 minutes.

Today I'll be swapping out my summer/winter clothes (did Allison's yesterday), and I'll get in a workout. We get a free sub sandwich tonight for completing our frequent diner's card, so that'll be our Friday Night take out.

Gas prices - heard on a business show about a month ago that SC has the lowest in the nation. I always complain about the prices here until we travel to NC or GA. Like elsewhere it's been on the rise here because summer is coming. Lowest I've seen is around 1.669 for 87 octane. Add 10-cents for mid-range, and 20 for the premium stuff. Price is lowest in the upstate, around the Greenville-Spartanburg area, which usually runs 3-5 cents cheaper than where we are.

Good Friday morning!

Yea! The end of another week. The workday could be chaotic. Deadline early Monday morning, and I'm so not interested in being here at all over the weekend. The weather is pretty nice for today - I'll get out of here for about a 1/2 hour at lunchtime if I can. I hope I'm not dressed too warmly; I'm looking super-casual today and my old sneakers will certainly bring the look down even more!

Workout tonight - cardio and full weights. I can't wait to get back on that 2 days on/1 day off schedule where I split up the weights over 2 days and work more muscle groups. Maybe next week?

I need to catch up on housework tomorrow before the Princess's dance recital. Dusting to do, cleaning the bathroom and mopping the bathroom and kitchen floors, and for further amusement the laundry basket floweth over! Now that I think we've settled (well, I have) on the new kitchen cabinetry (assuming the price is right, KraftMaid Rutherford Cherry with a chocolate stain, and a light-painted Rutherford Maple island), DH wants to look at floor tile, so we'll do that early Saturday. There are a couple of stone suppliers not far from home, so maybe we'll look at stone countertops, too!

My mom will be coming over for dinner on Mother's Day, so it will be a nice calm day; she's planning to take the train out if she feels up to it and if not, we'll drive into the city to get her. Dessert will be at the in-laws; not sure if I'm baking or buying -in all honesty, probably buying.

Have a great day, everyone!

Gas prices - ugh. For the mid-octane gas, it ranges from 1.79.9 to 2.09.9 a gallon. It's great when there are three gas stations at the intersections of the secondary highway and local streets right near home. They all are within a penny of each other and have cents-off-per-gallon days where you can save a little money. The prices get higher nearer to the major highway access ramps.

gas prices?

here it's like a euro per liter... gas prices in europe are insane...

Oh - I just had to brag. My sweet, romantic slob Alex - whom I just adore, actually rode his bike today to the bank and back (about 5km total) VOLUNTARILY. Without Whining! and THEN this afternoon for break, he said - so, how about this 15minutes of decluttering you've been talking about? I happily set the timer for 15 minutes and sat with him as he went through about half a box of old magazines and papers and stuph and threw most of it away! I was SO proud of him!

I'll get him exercising and the house in shape yet!

Oh - I rode for a bit already today also.

TGIF!!! I've had to take some time off from my night job - been a little queasy & dizzy (or should I say ditzy??) lately. I went to my new family physician Wed. and he gave me a shot of Fenergen(sp?) & it hurt like the dickens. Anyway, he gave me a note to be excused for 3 nights. I went home Wed. night and slept from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Thur. I never knew I could sleep that long! He really seemed like a nice doctor - rather old, but he listened to me. Gave me an eating plan to follow for lowering my cholesterol & approved me to take the niacin/aspirin to help lower it. I am supposed to get it checked mid June.

Hope the weight is almost off by then, too.

I am going to walk today. DS has a game, but I don't feel up to that either. Need to get caught up with POTPW, too. Sorry, Phyllis. Sassy lost her book & I lost my brain for the moment.

Have a happy, happy Friday, everyone!

P.S. Booty, our prices are up to $1.76 or so - I go to the place that is $1.72. I'd love to be able to ride a bike to work (that is if everyone else in Longview did!!!)

Good Afternoon,

It is just a beautiful day outside, sunny and warm and not liking the fact that I'm indoors for the majority of the day. Definitely will an afterdinner walk with my beast. Things at work have not improved and heard tell that there was a big blowout between Miss Sunshine and her boss pre work hours. So I'm indeed glad that the work week is hours away from being over.

They just changed the sign at the gas station pumps this morning to 1.99.9 and I believe premium was at $2.05.

I did a WATP video this morning and I did indulge in a Panera apple crunch bagel this morning at work with a little bit of hazelnut cream cheese. It was just so good. Just have a real hard time passing those up.

Hope Friday is treating you well.

Susan
