Good morning ladies.

I've got lots of running around to do today. I want to get the rest of the things I need for Adam's birthday party next week, so I can feel in control of the whole situation. Have I mentioned how anxious hosting a kid's birthday party makes me!! ;o) I will be so glad when it's 2:30 on May 15!

His school does something that I think is rather cool. They suggest that on a child's birthday, rather than sending cake and candy, etc. that the parents purchase a book, wrap it up and donate it to the school library. With all of the school cut backs, etc. I thought it was an excellent idea.

Eating was so, so yesterday. I was planning on having spaghetti squash with soy ground beef in tomato sauce and salad. However, when I went to get the spaghetti squash out it was soft, so I ended up having beef tortellini with everyone else. Not the end of the world, but I'll behave today. The scale was back up this morning, however, the tape measure is saying otherwise and I'm down another inch on my belly, so I'm not complaining!

I've done well with my walking so far on the Walk It Off Challenge. Today is overcast and drizzly, so I think it will end up being the Stairclimber, unless it breaks and clears this afternoon. Then, perhaps the park. Adam has a birthday party to go to at 5:30, so Ray and Max and I will go out to dinner.

Weekend plans...FIL was going to cook dinner on Sunday, but Ray and I want to watch the Survivor finale without having to listen to his nephew running through the house screaming at the top his lungs, so he told FIL to cook it tomorrow instead! And, I imagine I'll be running back and forth between the hospital.

That's my excitement for the next few days. Have a great weekend all!

Good afternoon, Lori! I just noticed gas prices today and it was $1.99 at the cheap gas stations. It was shock after filling up in NJ, where I think the gas is one of the cheapest in the country. NY prices are usually insane with everything.

I was also shocked by the price of milk. I missed that increase with being away for 11 days.

No special plans for the weekend. Definitely will not be going out to eat on Mother's Day...restaurants are too crowded. Sending out for Chinese will be fine with me. Hope to get to the gym at least one day. I am getting addicted to the elliptical machine.

Got a bunch done already today...scrubbed the bathroom, stripped beds, did laundry, went to the gym, did some more veggie and fruit shopping, and cooked up some already. I have been doing ok with eating the past 2 days and I want to keep it up through the weekend.

Hope you all have a great weekend too!

Hugs

Sorry you are not feeling well, Kat! Hope the queasiness goes away in short order. By the way...what is Fenegergen? I don't know what it is so forget about the spelling.

Glad you were able to get an excuse note from Doc. Good luck with the aspirin and niacin to get the cholesterol down. Let me know how it works for you.

Wasn't it just glorious today, Susan? Sure makes me feel there is hope that summer is not far away. I do hope we get some spring and not skip over it.

Glad your workweek is almost over and you were able to enjoy your bage today. Hey...you gotta live and enjoy once in awhile!

Hope you have a nice Mother's Day.

I did notice the prices for gas weren't that much different in Fl than NY when I was there. I really think we are all getting ripped off since the oil companies are still making lots of money. Oh, well....

I thought of you yesterday while I was planting the flat of white impatiens I bought. I do hope it stays warm enough up here now for them. Things look so nice here with the new driveway and all. I don't plant anywhere near as much as you do, but my pansies and impatiens are in. Maybe a few marigolds are next and portulacas if I can find them.

Hope you have a wonderful visit with your sis. It is nice to bond with them every so often.

Have a good weekend and Happy Mother's Day.

Your Sunday plans sound so nice. How lucky for you to have family nearby and you can take walks together.

Have a good one.

Late for the Friday morning post but I wanted to add my 2 cents worth on the price of gas. I just filled up yesterday and for premium I paid $2.17 a gallon.
