Nancy, glad the storm wasn't any worse.

We're heading out soon for a cookout at my parents. It's a combination Mothers Day /anniversary celebration.Suppose to be sunny and near 90 today. Not sure what else the day holds.Would love to get a run in.And a nap in the hammock would be nice too.

I didn't do well with getting workouts in this week.I need to get organized and plan better for the week ahead.

Happy Mother's Day ladies!!!

Adam greeting me this morning with two cards that he had printed out all by himself! One from him and one from Max.

This morning we are heading out for Dim Sum with FIL. It's beautiful, sunny and warm here and when we are done, dh, the boys and I are going for a stroll along the inner harbour. I'm thinking perhaps we can stroll by the New Balance store....*wink, wink* too.

As I mentioned, my oldest dd bought me some lovely earings. Yesterday, my oldest ds Matt, stopped by and brought me a huge bouquet of flowers, stocks, stargazer lilies, gerberer daisies, etc. They are simply lovely and smell gorgeous. He also brought me a giant box of Purdy's chocolates! OUCH! I guess I'll just have to share a lot!!! But they are soooo delicious.

I'll be going to visit youngest dd in the hospital this afternoon when we get home. She won't be out for a couple more days, but it's a great gift for me that she is on the mend and won't need surgery.

Dinner tonight will be steak and prawns on the barbie with a big batch of roasted veggies and green salad. Then we are going to settle in to watch Canada whoop Sweden's a$$ in World Cup Hockey and the Survivor finale!!!

Sounds like a pretty fine day to me! Hope you all have a great day too!

Happy Mother's Day! If the weather is like it has been the past several days, we should be sunny and mid-90's.

I got to sleep in this morning, which was so nice. Woke up to find a card from Tim and one from Rob on my nightstand. We'll be going in to Mom and Dad's early afternoon to hook up with the family. Since Dad isn't up to going to a restaurant, Mom is fixing something for the guys at the house, and the "girls" are taking Mom to a restaurant known for really good crab cakes called Barbara Jean's. It's on the intracoastal out near Ponte Vedra Beach. I want to be sure to get some pictures of us all together. Maybe we'll get some walking in later this afternoon. I have my CardioStrides in the car, and Cheryl brought hers from MD. Don't know if Lisa is planning to bring hers.

I'm eager to see if the painters have gotten much done since I was in at Mom and Dad's Friday evening. They were supposed to work yesterday.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Happy Mother's Day.

My sister and her girls left this morning. I popped into church long enough to sing with the choir and then left :) I'm so bad. It's all part of my struggles the last couple of weeks. Not sure what's going on, but I just want to focus on ME for a change ;)

Anyhoo. For Mom's Day, I received red roses, cards, 3 hanging plants (that DH and youngest DS put together for me) a blender and some Creative Memories tools that I wanted that my CM consultant passed on as my Wish List to DH. I was really not expecting them for mother's day, but don't look a gift horse in the mouth. He told me he had expected to purhcase me the Ovation guitar I wanted but I was just so wishy-washy about life these days, he didn't know if I really wanted it, would use it, etc. I told him he was a smart man.

Got a good run in after we bugged outta church early. DD and I headed out. She was trying out her new roller blades (got them for her birthday). We'll soon be heading to baseball games. Got two this afternoon.

Sassy

Happy Mother's Day, all of you hot mamas! Went out fishing with ds early this morning - he caught a couple of fish and I let 2 get away!!! Oh well . . . will have to hone my skills at fishing. Anyway, I gave him permission to trot off with his dad as there's just so much fishing this mama wants to do!

My Mother's Day gift was a new pedometer! I can actually program it! Will use it tonight when I do my Mother's Day powerwalk.

This p.m. I think I will go out & look around in some stores - need to look at furniture, workout duds, and shirts & shorts for ds. If I see some pretty impatiens, will have to get them and some potting soil. I don't really want anything special to eat tonight & will probably just have a big green salad, some fruit and a small portion of hot & spicy chicken strips (kind of like buffalo wings). Or I could try making a lowerfat version of shrimp scampi using olive oil to go along with my salad and fruit.

Must call my Mom again today, also. I'm thinking of flying up to New Jersey to visit her in October. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can afford it. I haven't seen her since May of 2001.

Hope you all are having a very lovely Mother's Day!
