Here we go again -- it's Monday! How are you starting off your week? What do you have planned for activities, eating, water consumption, etc.? Any 15 minute projects today? If you're behind on The Power of the Praying Woman (as I am), are you planning to catch up?

Make the most of your day everyone!

Can't wait to see the pictures of your niece in her tap costume. She sound adorable. It's amazing how those things always come together so well, when it looks as though there's no way at dress rehearsal.

I'd love to see your house plans!! What type of tile are you looking for?

I'm hoping Mom and Dad's will look a LOT different. My sister and I are certainly trying. I took before pictures, because people tend to forget what things used to look like, and I'm a sucker for before and after shots anyway. Dad's blood pressure went from pretty high last night to very low this afternoon, so that's not good. Too low can cause a stroke too. He'd gone in the kitchen to make a sandwich and thought he was going to pass out. My sister went in to sit with him while Mom ran errands, so I could continue to work on the flower bed. Thanks for asking.

I'm enjoying doing the work at Mom and Dad's. Just wish I didn't have the neck and back problems. They are the ones getting their house painted, and we bought new shutters for them. Wish I were getting mine done too, but I'm not at this time. I'd keep the same colors and just have it spruced up. Actually, I'd like a new door and sidelights and would like to have at least the five big windows on the front of the house replaced -- they're overdue.

I'm going to be bringing tons of pictures of the kids to Asheville. One of the misfortunes of having me as your roomie....

What kind of tile? I really don't know. I only know I want a somewhat dull finish with a dimensional look. I'm going back and forth between a sandy color tile, limestone if that's an appropriate flooring material, and a vinyl tile (even though I hate vinyl) that looks so much like slate it fooled me. I don't want hardwood and I don't want Pergo. If money wasn't an object, I'd even go crazy and consider polished and tinted concrete - I really love that look, but I'd be concerned about the dead load and whether we'd need to shore up the beams and columns in the basement.

If I remember, I'll scan the picture of the cabinetry I like - I misspoke in an earlier post and put down the wrong style and finish - and e-mail it to you. As for the plans, Peter keeps tweaking and fiddling; I'll send those eventually, also. He's staked out the extension. It sounds like it's huge, but it really isn't.
