Good morning! What are you determined to do today? What's it like in your neck of the woods? What's the latest and greatest with your families?

Make it a good one!

Rhonda

Good morning everyone. I woke up without coffee in the house!!! Actually, I didn't really ever wake up until after I sipped my soy latte at 8:20. I kept falling back asleep at 5:30, no matter how hard I tried to make believe the decaf I sipped was waking me up.

So many priorities to figure out in life . . . I need to start a savings account for medical expenses - my deductible is $1000 and surgery to remove a "time bomb" mole on my wrist is going to run at least $760. I really want to visit my mom in October, too. It's always something . . .

No workout today because my ankle still hurts. I have it wrapped so it will heal, hopefully. I know it's nothing serious since I can walk, but it does hurt too much to even powerwalk right now.

I hope you all have a great day.

Congratulations, Deb!! That does indeed sound like a great volunteer position and one you will be able to build upon. Let us know how you like it.

Glad to hear you had a great workout yesterday despite lack of sleep from your respiratory problems. You're really good about getting those workouts in - better than I can say for myself. Hope you are feeling better soon.

So this Spanish immersion your dad is in - is that thru his church or another program?

Will keep him in my prayers for a safe experience and trip back.

Sorry to hear your ankle is still hurting. If it's a sprained ligament, those are quite uncomfortable and take longer to heal than a broken bone. Do you wrap it for support? Wish I were close enough by to loan you a magnet. Rob and I have both used them on ours successfully. His was hurt skateboarding and was giving him a fit. After a few days, I noticed he'd moved it off there and down to a place on his foot. He said his ankle was better. It's funny to see him run for a magnet now instead of the ice pack. Nothing more convincing than personal experience.

I hope you'll be able to get that mole taken care of soon. You don't want to mess around with that.

Where does your Mom live? I was thinking St. Augustine, but then I was thinking that was your brother. My memory has gotten so terrible. If it's St. Aug., please don't come when I'm in Asheville. I want to be able to get together if you'd like.

Hugs to you,

Rhonda

Big hugs, Sassy!!! It really sounds overwhelming over there in your kingdom!!! Your poor dh, too! They better compensate him plenty for this extra load he has to shoulder!

I hope your Sarah had a fun time at her sleepover birthday party - meant to post a Happy Birthday to her. Is she an official teen now?

I really don't know how anyone with more than 1 child in sports EVER gets anything done!!!!

Last night, I had to get back on the chill pills - about 4 days too soon, really, I think. However, everything seems to be piling up & I needed some calming down! The women at Dillard's basically run all over me (I'm usually very easygoing & let them think they can boss me around), but last night (after almost 2 years of it), I finally complained to the manager about their rudeness and bossiness. Hopefully, it will do some good. The irony is that I've been there longer than they and I've never told them what to do. Little things like that and my ds keeps injuring himself in sports are what contribute to my overload. You are right about the enemy!!!! This kind of stuff needs to get me down on my knees to Him above.

Hugs and hope things calm down for you,

Kat

P.S. I cannot kick anyone's behind - I didn't work out this a.m.

Mom is coming in tonight and will be staying for a week. I am looking forward to it, don't anticipate any "negatives"... and I'm really glad I got it all off my chest, no matter what the eventual outcome (over time).

Thanks for asking.

I think all your yard work is your workouts.
