Sometimes I think we run a zoo but then I look at my sisters house and realize I don't. Funny stories, I have tons. Bingo our border collie is getting old (almost 14) and he is so calm. Let him out our front door and he stays by your side. I can tell you to story about the night I lost Katie's hamster and we found him in the basement. Or when Robbie's hamster (Eleanore) got sick and I spent $76.00 at the vet. Or now the hermit crab. Got to love Papa..............NOT! Let him take Katie to the mall on Saturday and they got home with a crab. Well they bought it an extra shell, should he tier of the other one. On Monday Katie is upstairs yelling for me to come and see something. The empty shell aint too empty........yes a baby hermit crab. But now its gone, gone where you ask? The shell is there but I think the other one ate it? Is this possible? We have fish too, and they just swim around. Thats our life with our furry/animal friends.

Oh, I'd love to see Sadie rolling around in the grass.Spike sounds like a laid back kind of guy.

My dog was a Sheltie and had a natural instinct to herd. When people would be in the living room and getting ready to leave she would get up and run like crazy around the couch to herd them back.Drove people crazy and I think that's exactly why she would do it!!!I think she just loved messing with their minds.

I have a pekinese mix named Sheba which is why I refer to her as "The Queen".

LOL...I was just thinking of The Queen the other day and wondering how she was doing with her boyfriend.

Gotta love those animals...although it must have been hard to spend $76.00 on a sick hamster when you could get 10 more for that price.

I love dogs and we used to own a cocker spaniel named Tim. He was Danny's protector from day 1. He died when Danny was about 7.

Now, Danny has miniature Schnauzers surrounding him when he stays with his dad. They are: Phoebe, Sophie, Golly, and Ditto. Their antics, described by Danny, are hilarious. Danny goes into great detail about each one's personality and how they interact with each other and with him. A couple of them like to sleep with Danny. Also, a sweet English Sheepdog, named Molly, resides there.

Danny, of course, wants me to buy a miniature Schnauzer but I would really like a Westie.

And then there is Otto and here are just a few of the things that make him my special and yet unique and somewhat weight challenged beagle.

1. Apparently it's a lot of fun to run through the house after a "Spa Day" and head for the backyard to roll around in the grass. Or for that matter to go on a walk and find a nice neighbor's patch of grass to cure itchy fur!

2. That he knows when it's grocery shopping day and eagerly awaits the take out for us and the special treat that awaits inside one of the bags for him.

3. The sound of the food processor may bring about a shredded cheese product.

4. Knowing that DS'bed is complete with a pillow and much more room to stretch out in the middle of instead of the dog bed that is supplied.

5. Always being able to find the perfect tasty morsel in someone's grass, in the gutter or sidewalk.

6. That if you look pathetic enough and keep your snout between the posts of the fence the favorite neighbors will give you good treats.

7. That sometimes it's fun to run and sometimes it's just great to take your time and stop and "smell the roses".

8. That's it's fun to meet new friends on our adventures.

9. That a dirty dishwasher can hold incredibly good things to lick when Mom isn't looking.

10. That there is a big jar with good things inside to eat!

11. And the fact that we both love to eat, snack and enjoy the great outdoors!

I love your Otto "tails"!!! I'll never forget the time you posted he had taken a bag apart to get to some food. He sounds like the perfect family dog!! I always wanted a beagle - love those floppy ears!
