~~Friday Morning Post~~

We need a "Whew, we made it icon"!It's Friday and we made it(just about) thru another week. What did life throw at you this week?Lots of good stuff? Some small annoyances that nagged at you?Big worries that you had to work hard to overcome?Isn't amazing what comes our way each week, each day for that matter? And doesn't it speak to how strong and capable we are that we make it thru and that we keep going? Then again it reminds me of a card I saw awhile back.On the front it said"no matter what life throws you, you just keep going".On the inside it said, "Bless your heart, you really don't have a clue do you???"LOL
So how are you wrapping up your week?Do you have a big workout planned or a day of rest?Any special weekend plans?
Anyone still working towards their May Challenge? We're halfway thru another month! When the month ends how close will you be to the goals you set for yourself?
Whatever your plans I hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday!!!!!

No workout, muggy and raining. I will shoot for this weekend for a walk or two. Katie has riding lessons tonight, which she has missed the last 2. Other then that, nothing going on here. May challenge, hoping for 5 pounds gone this month.......so far 2 are gone.

At this point, my day is still up in the air, depending on what my sister would like to do. We discussed the possibility of doing something fun today or we may work in the yard some more. I told her she's the visitor, so I'm up for whatever she wants to do. That was still undecided the last time we talked, but either way is fine with me.
I put together a punch list for Mom to give to the painters to complete today before she pays them the balance. I saw a number of things that needed to be corrected, and since that was part of my job as a designer/project manager I did it for her. No big deal, but she didn't seem to know where to start.
Looks as though it's going to be a beautiful day. We've had a strong sea breeze affecting our weather the last several days, which has kept the temp. in the mid-80's, but it's been very pleasant.
Deb, I posted to you kind of late last night about the scout situation. I'm glad you have a witness to verify your side of the story. That girl is going to lie to try to cover her fanny, and it appears she's never been discouraged from that sort of behavior. It's a shame her parents don't see the caution flags going up and get counseling for her (and the mother). Time will help with what happened.
Enjoy your day!

This has been a long work week and glad that there are only hours left until the work week is complete. It certainly has been a mixed bag of things going on.
It was a tough night sleep wise last night. I had fallen asleep in the front of the TV for about 20 minutes and apparently that was enough to wake me up so that I couldn't fall asleep. DH was suffering from some sort of coughing fits and when that subsided the snoring took over. He was all snuggled under the covers and I was tossing and turning and throwing the covers off until I realized he had the bedroom window shut. Once I opened the window and let some air in I was finally able to get to sleep. I woke up early and gave myself 5 minutes to get out of bed and head for the basement and remember telling Otto and his whining that it wasn't time to eat and the next thing I knew I was awakened to the smell of someone's overdone something or other in the toaster oven. Anywho, the bottom line was there was no workout this morning.
I'll be heading out the door soon for work, with grocery shopping afterwards. Nothing else much on the agenda. I really hope they finish off with this window job and do the finishing work on the inside so that I can get my house back in order...it's getting on my nerves.
Hope you all have a wonderful TGIF!
Susan
TGIF is right. I don't like wishing my days away, but I really, really treasure my weekends. Can't wait until 4:30 pm!
Workout planned tonight - cardio and UB. Had a good LB/cardio/ab routine last night. I worked hard, and my hips aren't screaming too loudly today.
For the life of me I can't figure this out, but I don't seem to be hungry at all in the evening. I was feeling a bit nauseous last night and didn't eat anything, but it's been almost a struggle to eat dinner the last few nights, even when I met DH for a seafood dinner at Skipjack's Wednesday (we changed our minds from McCormick and Schmick). I'm sure it will all change and I'll be eating like a swarm of locusts in no time. It's just a curious thing, especially waking up in the morning no hungrier than usual.
My niece is coming for a sleepover. The Star is bringing her dance costumes with her, so we're going to try to redo the hair and makeup like she had in the recital and take some pictures. I won't be posting them, but I'll bring prints with me to Asheville - and I'll try to restrain my gushing.
Hope you all have a happy Friday!
Donna
Happy Friday! Fraiser fans, what did you think about the final show? I especially liked how it ended for Roz and Fraiser’s message about change and taking chances. Made me break out the Kleenex. Anyone have plans for the weekend? We are going to the ballet to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I know that I will enjoy it but expect to hear zzzzz next to me LOL! Today, I gather my cookbooks and plant next week’s meals. Have decided to let dh and his beloved barbecue take care of weekend lunches and/or dinners. Hmm, maybe this should become routine… Got the AC working again so plan to do a spin workout this afternoon but right now need another cup of coffee before the day takes off without me.
Anyway, you all have a good day, a great weekend and I’ll check-in later.

So someone tell me, did Frasier end up with anyone???? Who got married? What did Daphne have, boy or girl?
Well, I think I'm under control for "the party" tomorrow! The pinata is made, the goody bags packed and the pizzas are in the freezer ready for cooking! The cake is ordered, the tails are made for Pin the Tail on the Turtle and the wine is in the fridge chillin'! (That's for me after the last kid leaves!!!) Then again......it has a sedative effect right! Hmmm, I wonder what root beer and wine tastes like? :P
Dh was so sweet last night (or was he?) I told him I was going to make an appointment to get my hair cut and coloured today and he said he was going to suggest that!!! Not sure how he meant it! Like I should treat myself or I looked like He**!! LOL
I've been getting my walking in this week (2nd week of the Walk It Off Challenge). Unfortunately the scale is not reflecting it in the least, but that's okay. I'm hanging in there! Eating's been good too! I still need to get in a few Strength Training days.
Got to meet my oldest dd's boyfriend last night. He's very good looking. She said he's very shy and they only stayed for a few minutes. Long enough for her to throw a load of laundry in. :) They met at work last year and the relationship has survived his 2 month vacation to the South Pacific (he e-mailed her every couple of days and kept in touch, which surprised me) and they are in the process of moving in together. A first for her! They are going to look at a place tonight and I really hope that it suits them. My ex (dd's father) doesn't like him, but from everything Heidi has told me, he's very sensitive and loving person, so I'm really happy for her!
Youngest dd might be getting out of the hospital today!!! Her specialist is looking at putting her on Remicade. Still not sure if she will need surgery or not yet.
That's about all my news for now. Still hunting for a new pedometer. Seems everyone in our city must be getting healthy because everywhere I go is sold out!!! May have to resort to online, or getting dh's cousin to get me one in Vancouver!
Have a great day!!
Shar
Okay, I'm going to pull myself up out of the doldrums and whip it into gear!!! Tomorrow!
Have a fantastic Friday!
I'm THOROUGHLY enjoying mom's visit, as is Allison!
