~*~Satisfying Sunday~*~

Hey, read into it whatever you want :)

Had a great day yesterday and expecting another one today. No workout yesterday...no workout today (which is a bit unsatisfying) but back to those tomorrow.

Yesterday I spent the day doing laundry, cleaning and cleaning out my basement. It was SOOOOO satisfying! I just wander down there for the heck of it just to check it all out. Makes me itching to get on with cleaning out the utility room next (rubbing hands together with anticipation). Spent the afternoon and evening yesterday at baseball games. We had fun and it was relaxing (and satisfying). Fell into bed around 11:00 after some severe storms blew through. Another satisfying event.

Anyhoo...no church this morning, we're going to see the Carolina League Potomac Cannons baseball game along with youngest DS's baseball team and families. Heading out there around 11:30 to meet for a picnic lunch (burgers and dogs in the picnic area) and the game starts at 1:35. It's Carnival Sunday which means there will be moon bounces and games and things for the kids to play.

Enjoy your Sunday and hope you, too, have a satisfying one.

Hugs.

Good Morning,

Sassy, sounds like a real nice day planned-Enjoy!

Hope this will be a Satisfying Sunday. Yesterday ended up with me going into complete and total meltdown. I was completely overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done around here and by last night I wasn't sure which Sybil I was. I think I almost scared poor DD's BF away last night. The humidity has lowered and the temperatures are not quite as high today and things are not looking as scary this morning. I've already got some laundry perculating, have some errands to run and I'm hoping I can sneak in a manicure and pedicure sometime during the course of the day.

Hope your Sunday is a good one.

Susan.

I'm with ya on the overwhelming and the meltdowns. During the day I'm out and about working and running errands and on the go and energized and the minute I walk into my house...I sag with defeat and an overwhelming feeling of failure and fatigue. I decided I can't continue on that path so...my solution is to bark orders like a drill sergeant to get things picked up and put away, tackle laundry on a continuous basis...even have the darlings chipping in with unloading the dryer, reloading the dryer, bringing the baskets up, etc., and I'm laying out a plan to tackle a room (or project) at a time and work my way thru my list. Started this weekend and it feels so good...the family is heading to Sunday School this morning and I'm staying here to get a couple of things done before we head out to the baseball stadium.

Hope this helps!

Hugs.

I wish I could come up with a way to get things uncluttered around here and KEEP it that way.I was up early this morning tossing out magazines that I keep way too long.I also told DS in a very calm way that I'd like him to do the same when he got some time.Frankly I think if I tossed DH and DS out I'd have much less clutter!!!!!

No workout for me today unless I decide on a walk later this evening.Sister ended up being able to walk yesterday after all.So glad because not sure I could have motivated myself alone.I went up to see Mom and Dad yesterday and mentioned I was on my way to find a chair for my porch.Dad said he had a couple he wanted to get rid of so I ended up with a very nice rocker for my porch.Think I'll head out there later with a book.Had planned on less work in CL land but the birds are acting up so probably need to be in there more than planned.

Last night I got so hungry for a fresh peach which then made me think of all the wonderful summer fruits.Of course, I also thought about hamburgers grilled out and bbq chicken......

Hope everyone has a very satisfying Sunday!!!!

HI Everyone!

I've got to tell you it's comforting to sign on and read that some of you are also feeling weighted down by stuff that needs to be done

Good afternoon! I woke up during the night with a major headache in the bone around my left temple. It's rare, but when it happens, it is so painful. Not as bad as my migraines were, but painful nonetheless. Got up at 7:10 to start getting ready for the beach. First thing I did was put a magnet on my head to take the edge off and took a magnesium capsule. Once I'd eaten I took some sinus/allergy medicine too to try to hit it from all sides. We took Rob and 2 friends to the beach early, because we knew we'd have to get home earlier than usual. My head was still bothering me, so I dozed off and on about the first 1 1/2 hours to give everything time to work.

I thought you were going to say that there's a lot of toothless sharks! Not sure where my mind is today :)

The sharks' teeth in this area are black or close to it, which means they're very old. I used to think they just washed in from the ocean, but I believe they are mainly uncovered by the tide from the coquina and sand on the beach. Also, I think it's more the shape of the coast and the currents that have caused so many teeth to be deposited there over what someone told me is millions of years rather than there being so many sharks in the area. Actually, the area around Crescent Beach (south of St. Aug. Bch.) to around Daytona and Cocoa have probably the highest incidence of shark attacks on the East Coast.

Coquina was used to build a lot of things in FL, including the huge fort in St. Augustine. On the beach, it's just gazillions of loose tiny
