I had a satisfying day in that my closet is clean and tidy and so is my bedroom. DH was ready to tackle it since both of us needed to put the winter stuff away and bring on the warm weather clothes. It took all morning to clean out the closet and he threw some things out and consolidated some remaining things. I weeded out my winter stuff and the results were satisfying. Five loads of laundry done, linen closet straightened out, clean sheets on the bed, DH vaccumed our room, had a lovely walk with Otto. I left the house with Otto with my 2 month old dishwasher running. I had run it this morning after being all annoyed that someone hadn't run it last night. Came home to discover that the dishes were still dirty and DS had run it last night. Well you can imagine a dishwasher full of dishes that have been through 2 cycles of washing with soap but apparently no water. I had approximately 2 days worth of dishes that now had to be washed by hand. I had no silverware left or glasses as they were all either in the dishwasher or ready to be put in the dishwasher and all of the dinner dishes. Major B***er! So we'll be calling Sears bright and early in the AM to have someone fix this problem.
A day like this one leaves me satisfied with what I accomplished but at the same time I feel like I missed out on the beautiful day outside and it will be back to work tomorrow. I just can't tackle these projects during the week because of the time involved so I have to depend on the weekend and then before you know the weekend is gone only to discover that I've ended up working all weekend. Such a vicious cycle.
Well, hope you all had a satisfying Sunday!
