Good morning everyone!I wanted to toss out lots of possibilities for Wednesday!Anyone have a "W" word to add?

It's the middle of the week;how's it going so far for you?Are you on target for fitness, health or personal goals? Are you optimistic about where you are and where you're going?Or are you like me and wondering "where am I?", "How did I get here???" and "when will the Cabana boys show up??" :)

A few months ago I saw a ring that I love. I decided if I stuck to some plans I would get it.I think originally my goal was to get it once I lost a few pounds. But last week I looked over my exercise journal and realized how far I've come with my running and my weights.Back on track with both and most importantly enjoying them both.Plus I thought about how much I want to make this summer count.Enjoy the weather that allows me to get out, enjoy the more relaxed tone of summer and all the other things that I love so much about it.Yesterday my ring came and when I look at it I think of all those things.I don't think about the pounds or the waistline. I think about the health and happiness I have the opportunity for each day.

They are callin for a wild weather day!Severe storms coming thru and bringing up to 3 inches of rain.Next week the millions of cicadas are due to arrive!!Should be interesting!

Hope you each have a "Whatever you want it to be "Wednesday!Enjoy your day!!

Good Morning,

I may fit into all those word categories this morning. The new girl in the office has be out for a personal matter today which leaves me with "Miss Sunshine". She just grates on my nerves-enough said-which may prove to be a wild day in the office. Waiting for the repair man in the "window" of 8 to 12-so DD and I will have to tag team. She'll take the 8 to 11 shift but then she needs to get ready for work so if he hasn't shown up I'll have to take an early lunch and possibly some extra time until the repair is done-so that may be a little wacky and of course if he gets my dishwasher back up and running it will be Wonderful-because I am missing that household appliance!

Workout was 45 minutes on the treadmill. I wasn't happy with the distance that I covered in that amount of time but I've needing to keep the speed down to compensate for the aching bones afterwards. And I've been enjoying my evening yoga so hope to continue with that this evening.

Weather is really yucky this morning. It's been raining on and off and the humidity is nasty. It's been one of those mornings where it's just really hard to dry off and get clothes on without wanting to jump back into the shower.

Whether you're day is wild, wacky, wonderful or the "W" of your choosing-hope the day brings you good things.

Good morning!

I'm from Boston - what better "W" word than "wikkid"? I mean that in a good way.

I don't know what the weather holds today. The day dawned gloomy and humid, like yesterday. Thank heavens the wind died down. It was gusting so high I couldn't put my feet where I wanted to put them as I walked to the train Tuesday evening. I wonder how the birds flew into it. No cicadas here. They're due in 2008, and will probably not get as far north as the city. If we're still living in our current house, I could be on the edge of where they do settle. Sounds like an interesting phenomenon, once.

I need to do a complete workout tonight to make up for throwing in the towel last night due to the headache that settled in midway through. Advil, an icepack and steam helped, and I was able to fall asleep despite the residual aching. Cardio, abs, UB and LB work tonight - it'll be a long session in the dungeon.

Hope you all have a wikkid good day today!

Patty, I loved your post. "I think about the health and happiness I have the opportunity for each day." That says it all - every day is a new day and the opportunity to choose to do what's beneficial to us is always there, we just have to grab it.

(and grabbing a piece of Dove Dark every now and then is also beneficial, no?)

Enjoy your new ring! Can you describe it to us?

Good morning all! Just did something different without my usual must-have coffee. I drank 16oz of water while using the elliptical machine for an hour. Ok, I confess; that smell of Starbucks coffee is coming from my kitchen. It’s there to help me get through the next two chapters of homework but at least I had water first – right? Seems like I’m constantly in search of the perfect routine that probably doesn’t even exist. While working out I watched the news about the rising cost of gas. Here in the Capital City of North Carolina, we pay $1.96 a gallon. It took nearly $70. For a friend of ours to fill his new SUV. YIKES! Is the price of gas better or worse in your area?

Anyway, have a good day ladies and I’ll check back later

The pundits are talking about $2.03 per gallon for the lowest octane. I haven't seen that on a pump up here in weeks. We use the mid-level octane - that's around $2.13 per gallon. DH never fills up the tank, so it seems like we're at the gas station every other day. That waste of time aggravates me; I want to go from almost empty (and I mean running on fumes and God's good will) to filled up at least once and see what it really costs.

Loved your message, Patty. Sort of the realization I'm coming to about health and feeling better vs. pounds.

Mom left yesterday, after a wonderful visit - sure is quiet here with one less body. Al's little friend is coming over today. I managed to run Monday, but I didn't work out Sunday or Tuesday (I like running a day, working out a day, sometimes combining - and after a third day of physical activity, resting). So, while the girlies are playing, I'd like to get a Firm workout in, UB/LB along with abs. We might head to the n'hood pool after lunch.

Meanwhile, I gotta get laundry folded. I'm also working on catching up on my photo albums. I do okay on websites, but I'm only through August 2003 on the photo albums, and I haven't captioned anything for about 2-1/2 years. Right now I'm elated to be clearing out the folders where I stash photos and mementos.

We have a gazillion caterpillar worms here...they crawl up the doors, on the screen doors, on the windows, they're in the street, crunch crunch crunch...we're all complaining about them..but one thing they don't do is make noise like the bugs you're talking about.

Good morning,

I'm with Deb. I've never heard about the Cicadas before either. We are also in the midst of a huge caterpillar infestation. I was reading that it goes in cycles. Next year will be bad too, and then the following year there won't be many!

I went and bought a pair of New Balance 765 shoes yesterday, hoping that it will help with the old broken toe. I put on one new shoe and one old shoe. What a huge difference. The new shoe makes it feel like I've got pillows on my feet! Very cushy! Can't wait to try them out today!

I'm hoping to take the kids to the beach this afternoon and let them run off some steam! Not sure if we'll be able too though. I see some ominous clouds just south of us!

I got lots done in my garden yesterday. Planted all of the bedding plants I had left over, and transplanted a rose bush. Put my second planting of seeds in for spinach, lettuce, etc. and pulled lots of weeds.

I feel like having a whimsical Wednesday today. Nothing too serious on my plate! Lots of play!

Have a good one ladies.
