~*~Wild Wacky Wonderful Wednesday~*~

Good morning everyone!I wanted to toss out lots of possibilities for Wednesday!Anyone have a "W" word to add?

It's the middle of the week;how's it going so far for you?Are you on target for fitness, health or personal goals? Are you optimistic about where you are and where you're going?Or are you like me and wondering "where am I?", "How did I get here???" and "when will the Cabana boys show up??" :)

A few months ago I saw a ring that I love. I decided if I stuck to some plans I would get it.I think originally my goal was to get it once I lost a few pounds. But last week I looked over my exercise journal and realized how far I've come with my running and my weights.Back on track with both and most importantly enjoying them both.Plus I thought about how much I want to make this summer count.Enjoy the weather that allows me to get out, enjoy the more relaxed tone of summer and all the other things that I love so much about it.Yesterday my ring came and when I look at it I think of all those things.I don't think about the pounds or the waistline. I think about the health and happiness I have the opportunity for each day.

They are callin for a wild weather day!Severe storms coming thru and bringing up to 3 inches of rain.Next week the millions of cicadas are due to arrive!!Should be interesting!

Hope you each have a "Whatever you want it to be "Wednesday!Enjoy your day!!

Deb, here's an article that tells what's happening. I can't believe it, but I saw one article about how Cicadas have become

That's pretty much what I do every time I get gas. I like to stop as seldom as possible. When I'm out and about I have a route worked out to take the least time and gas, so it's the most efficient. Usually, I have a lot of ground to cover in a limited time, so I don't want to make any more stops than I have to. The most I've ever spent to fill up my Explorer was almost $38.00.

It's a WARM Wednesday here. I've been getting some things done inside and catching up on the emails and posts, but will be heading outside before too long to continue the seemingly never ending job of trimming the shrubs. Good thing I enjoy it! I still have those 3 Brazilian Plume flowers to plant, but won't be getting down and dirty this afternoon since Rob has guitar this evening. He had a half day of school today, so was home before noon. He is lovin' that. Tomorrow and Friday are half days too. Seems like a waste to me, but if I were a kid I'd love it.

I've been asked to be part of a group of "seniors" (!!!!!) to meet with Gov. Mark Racicot, George W.'s national campaign chairman tomorrow afternoon at Republican Headquarters. I'm still sort of reeling from that. They're using age 50 as the beginning age, so I do qualify. It's just a real shock to the system to think of it. I'm not sure what I want to ask him, so I'm going to get some input from Mom and Dad. I just think it'll be cool to get to meet him.

Patty, good for you for rewarding all your hard work. I'd love to hear details about your ring. Take care with the severe weather headed your way.

Donna, my ring is from the southwestern collection at QVC. I got a bracelet from that collection years ago and love it.I was drawn to this because the description read"moody beauty of the American Southwest".It's sterling silver with purple and red oyster shell, green tuquoise, mother of pearl and tigers eye.Would love to get to the southwest sometime.

The cicadas have been underground for 17 years.Apparently the males make alot of noise to attract the females. They come up to have sex and then die.At least the men do I think. The women go back underground with the eggs. The other day a friend suggested the human species should do something like that.Kinda think she was ticked at a man.....Although tell me one man whose interest you couldn't catch by saying "you live in dirt for 17 yrs, come up and all you have to do is eat and have sex".

Sounds very pretty. Will have to visit QVC's site to see it. Haven't bought any jewelry from QVC in a while, but I love everything I have from them, from the jewelry to the clothes to the tote and handbag, to the Birkenstocks. Just bought Monday's "Today's Special Value" - a cute 3-piece Denim & Co. copped pant/shirt/jacket outfit that I think will be appropriate for work when the casual dress code takes effect.

I think you had a lightbulb moment there Patti! Your post was so uplifting. You have come a long way in your health and fitness.

I am all for enjoying the good stuff about summer and doing it with a positive attitude...cabana boys or not. ;-)

Be careful of the weather today.
