Wacky Wonderful Wednesday Check In!

I finally followed through on a workout plan that didn't involve running! I did the entire Firm Body Sculpt workout (short by one set of pushups and one overhead press), both LB and UB. Felt really good. Followed up with Tony Little's abs, modified to hold and release slower than his pace, but doing all 14 minutes.

I've already had dessert today, 1-1/2 scoops of peanut butter cup ice cream - bad me, but oh-so-yummy! At least when I have dessert these days it's less than I used to have, and with my increased cardio, it doesn't stick with me.

I left 1/2 hour before I had to pick up Adam from kindergarten so that I could get some extra walking time in. Love these new shoes. We just got in the door and dh called to ask if wanted to meet him at the mall for lunch. Of course the answer was yes and rather than driving we hoofed on down there too!! I had my big splurge, a bacon cheeseburger and snitched a few of the kid's fries. I'll be good at dinnertime! ;)

Definitely a Whiney Wednesday. It was rainy and humid weather wise. My DD called me around 11 to let me know that the appliance repair man was going to be a no show today. I spent 1/2 of my lunch hour to find out the reason why. My explanation was that they were overbooked but could send someone on Monday between 1 and 5 which of course didn't sit too well with me. They finally connected me with a Customer Service Relations Person who did agree with me that calling me at 11 AM and not the night before or early the morning of was really not acceptable. Her explanation was that the computer system was "down" and that's why they were overbooked. She finally got me an appointment for Friday which still doesn't sit well but it's better than next week. I was talking to the part time girl in the office and "Miss Sunshine" had to chime in that I should have let her make the phone call because she would have gotten me money and money off yada yada yada....but then I asked her if that was going to get my dishwasher fixed? Do you hear the sound of my last nerve grinding? While being on the phone Otto decided he needed to go out...now normally this dog will not step foot outside in the foul weather until it's an emergency so out he goes and comes back in all wet. I'm trying to talk to this woman at the same time the dog has now escaped my reach to get dried off. He goes shakes himself off on some piece of furniture and back he comes again to go outside. Now I know he's probably not feeling well. He goes outside, vomits and then disappears somewhere in the yard and it's POURING. Of course, I can't leave the phone because I'm on hold and then he appears back at the door and he is drenched. I soaked an entire towel trying to dry him off and he escapes again. Needless to say the pot of soup I made for lunch got overboiled and burnt my tounge in the process as I was trying to eat before I was late getting back to work. So that's my Wednesday whine!

But on the Wonderful Wednesday side, the rain seems to have cleared out for now and I'll be able to get Otto and myself out for a walk after dinner and if the ironing fairy hits me in the head with my iron I may do some ironing while watching American Idol this evening so I can stop pressing things in the morning before work.

Hope Wacky Wonderful Wednesday has treated you well!

I had a weally wonderful wednesday. A friend called me just before lunch and we talked for awhile, which put me behind on my work. Which was a very good thing.I ended up going to CL later than expected and as I was going thru some equipment failed. The alarm didn't go off like it should have and if I wouldn't have been in there at just the right moment it could have been a big problem. As it was I came back to the house, called Dh and was able to fix it til he can get home and find out just what went wrong. So I had a great conversation with a good friend and don't have to expalin to the company why I'm 30,000 chickens short.

We didn't get as much rain as predicted and I got part of my yard mowed.I did a 20 min LB workout tape and then 20 mins on my slide which I haven't done for awhile.

Have to try to stay awake for Law & Order tonight, it's Lenny's last night!Love that show!

I HAVE to see Law and Order too! I love all of the different ones, and Lenny is my favorite character. I will miss him on there so much, but at least he will show up on a new spin-off, so it's not a total good-bye. I also loved Jerry Orbach as the candlestick in Beauty and the Beast and the dad in Dirty Dancing, among his other roles. Before Law and Order, I've got to watch Hannity and Colmes. They're having Zell Miller from GA, Rudy Guilani, and Sean interviewing Howard "The Scream" Dean!! Should be a terrific show if you're interested in politics.

Patty, so glad you were in CL at just the right moment to prevent a disaster! You must be living right! Susan, I know you have to be glad this day is about over. Kat, try to get some rest! Linda, love that peanut butter cup ice cream (too much)! Shar, glad you're enjoying your new shoes so much.

I got some linens changed and washed, fertilized roses and palms with their special fertilizers,

Had a great afternoon. The breeze this morning was a bit on the cool side, but the boys desperately wanted to go to the beach, so we headed down there at about 2:30 this afternoon. It was heaven. Not nearly as cold as I'd expected. I got some good sun catching in and the boys had lots of fun. Love those days where I can just stretch out and read, or ponder life!!! Going again tomorrow, weather permitting!!

Came home and had the first baby greens from the garden in a salad!!! Ahhhhlicious!

Finished my workout around 9 pm. Took me a little over 90 minutes; it was complete and felt great. Even cardio was better than it's been in a while with running intervals thrown in here and there. Stretched a little while ago and showered. and I'll be turning in as soon as I log off here and lower the volume on the dumb basketball playoff game!
