Saturday Morning

Look I brought coffee this morning! Now where would you like to be drinking it?At a beach early in the morning , watching the sun come up?At a cabin up in the mountains just after you've come in from a walk on a beautiful trail? At a luxury spa where you will be pampered all day?Maybe on your own front porch or at your own kitchen table.

So what's up for today?Who has exciting plans and who has laid back take it easy plans? What kind of weather are you expecting today?

I'm working a few hours and then off with my sisters for a girls day. Suppose to be sunny and 90 here.Last night we had storms come thru and it looks like we're in that pattern for sometime to come.

I haven't got any fitness plans for today unless I get a walk in later when I get home.Anyone else working out?

Hope you have a Super Duper Saturday, ENJOY!!

Miss P

Look at all you early busy bee's! How do you amazing ladies do all you do? I am feeling this week, big time. I am so not ready to work everyday and take care of my family and house. Had a horrible nights sleep. My older son has been working non-stop on his Exersion, getting it ready to put into a stereo show. He worked every night this week until midnight and last night did not get home until 1. He left for Atlantic City at 5 this morning with 2 other cars. They all have these outragous stereo systems and they are entering this "Funk Master" somebody's show today. The "boys" will be home tomorrow night, late I am sure and that worries me.

As Susan said the weather here in NY is very iffy. They are calling for more rain over the next 5 days, which is getting depressing. If the weather holds Bill and Robbie are going to run out east and test his car. My house, just like Susan's is screaming clean me. My kitchen floor is so gross and the laundry is everyplace.

Having been a busy week my food journeling went right out the window and there has been no exercise what so ever. Aunt Flo showed up on Tuesday night and has left me tiered, cracky, bloated and down right yucky. I guess a nice walk on my treadmill with some music in my ears would do me some good. I also need to run to the bank and make a bank deposit.

My hot tea would truely be enjoyed while sitting at the beach. I miss the beach, especially with winter finally getting over. So a nice house on Dune Road or Fire Island. Cabana boys are not necessary for that, I like "chill" in the morning, so qiet and alone would be nice.

Patti I have 2 sisters and we get along great. We have our moments but it is enjoyable being with them, they are my best friends. Unfortunatly with my one (youngest)sister living in Conn. now we do not see her to often. My middle sister has 2 kids and she runs from soccer games, and karate like a jack rabbit so our time is limited too. I think that is why I feel lonely sometimes because everyone is so busy all the time.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning ladies,

No brainer! I'll take my coffee on the deck of my beachhouse!

It's a long weekend up here in Canada (Victoria Day - celebrating Queen Victoria). First camping weekend of the year. We however, are not going anywhere. Quite content to avoid the masses and besides, there is a campfire ban everywhere anyway! Dh will be doing the Lion Dance in the annual Parade down main street. It takes about 3 hours and since he doesn't workout, I'm sure he'll be feeling it! *chuckle*

Today is rainy and cool here, but not cool enough that we need the heat on. I'm thankful for the rain too! Things are terribly, terribly dry here and it looks like we are in for another horrific season of forest fires, which of course makes me worry about my oldest ds, as I know he'll be right in there.

I've been doing great with my walking workouts, though I think today I shall probably resort to the Stairmaster for my 45 minutes! Still not managing to squeeze in the strength training though. Silly, really! I could do it while watching TV or something. Truth is, half the time I forget about it and the other half I put it off!

Eating has been slipping this week too! I've had too much "stuff" that I shouldn't have. A few of the potato chips left from the birthday party, a few of the chocolates from Mother's Day. I'm going to really try and get it together this coming week. I'd like to see the scale moving again.

My housework is pretty much under control. Got a good jump on it yesterday afternoon while everyone was watching The Cat in The Hat!

We watched "21 Grams" last night. A little difficult to follow with all of the different time lines, etc., but a very powerful show. Because of the title, I assumed it was about drugs. Duh! Anyhoo, I made sure to give my babies a big huge hug this morning!

Have a wonderful day my friends.

No - don't look to me for inspiration!! I've hoped to bump my workout to 5x a week, but somewhere around 3x is more my average, with an occasional venture to 4x a week. I can't count how many times I've posted my planned workout here and not followed through. At least once a week, sometimes twice. Two days ago... I worked a jigsaw puzzle in my spare time. Fun, but sure didn't accomplish much! I have to say it's a cool puzzle, 1000 pieces of an espresso and coffee bean "still life" - complete with little sweets to dunk.

Sorry to hear Annie made a mess of your cedar bags. Hopefully with proper training and just growing up, she'll learn the rules of living with people. A friend of mine has a small dog, cute as a button, and still a puppy with all the hyperactive puppy traits. She's already starting to obey commands and that's helping. I'm pretty impressed with what my friend has been able to accomplish so far.

Gotta love those Friday night take-outs! We've been doing this for years, and even on one income have continued. It's our treat to kick off the weekend. We'll alternate what we do - most often it's the Veggie Subsandwiches from Substation II, but we also do Arby's, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and the occasional Wendy burgers. In winter we'll do baked potatoes from Wendy's as well. You're right, not a great habit, but I don't think we were placed here to be total stoics!

Ice cream is on my shopping list ;^).

i spent the day putting together a new shelving unit for the kitchen and then organizing the kitchen. it damn near looks spacious in there now! (i was able to move the microwave onto the shelving unit, freeing up a *TON* of counter space)

no workout today but lots of "lifestyle" activity with moving and carrying and sorting and bending and lifting and reaching...

dinner is sauteed zucchine and scallions in a 4 cheese sauce over lumaconi (snailshaped pasta). we had poached eggs and toast for brekfast and prosciutto and rucola for lunch...

hope everyone has a good day.

The house we were planning to build near the ocean right before 9/11 had a 3rd floor tower room with French doors and a balcony off it, so you could see the shore break from either one -- Heavenly!! I would probably have "lived" up there when I was inside. We had a deposit on the lot and everything. Oh, well, maybe in the future... Right now I'm thankful just to have what we have.

I got a thin and crispy with pepperoni pizza
