Not sure what's causing the stomach problem. Seems as though something has triggered the IBS again.

As I mentioned to Patty, the baptism made for a bittersweet day. I keep trying to either think of the positive things about it or not think about it at all, but the hurtful things keep flooding in.

It was 96 today, and despite being distracted, I found 84 sharks' teeth. Some of them are very nice. It was crowded, and I saw one of Rob's good friends there, so we chatted for a while.

My sister just called and is giving us good tickets to FLEETWOOD MAC tonight!!! She'd gotten them and is just too tired to go. Guess we'll pass on the movie. ;-) I'm kind of tired myself, but maybe I'll grab a short nap and then run out to her house to get the tickets.

Thanks.

Rhonda

So sorry to hear about your burn. They are so painful. Wish I were close by to loan you a magnet. They work WONDERS on burns almost immediately. Patty, that's something to remember if you ever get a burn, since you have one. Within seconds of taping it on,

It's afternoon now, but thought I'd join in on this long and pleasant thread! After church today, the music dept had it's annual year-end banquet. The chicken is brought in, and then choir members will bring side dishes while the orchestra brings dessert. Families are invited. I made a traditional green bean casserole. We've got some very good cooks among our members, and everybody stuffed themselves!

I did the Firm Body Sculpt with weight work on the upper and lower body, added abs, and some extra inner thigh work. Great workout.

I think we're about to hit the pool for an evening swim. It'll still be light out for another 90 minutes, so there's plenty of time, and it's not so hot (which is what The Cus prefers - he'd much rather go in the evening than while the sun is overhead). We've been having the threats of t'storms the last two days, but as Sting sings "Heavy cloud but no rain." Our lawn is parched.

Deb (dmm), no exercise buddies here, either, though I'd welcome one. I know plenty of folks with gym memberships, and if I were earning $$ myself, I might do the same ('course, then I'd be too beat to go!). With Al not being in school yet, the easiest for me to do is exercise at home on my own. There are runners in our neighborhood, but my schedule doesn't coincide with theirs, either, and my one friend who runs lives in a different n'hood, and again, we'd have childcare issues. Don't know if I'd be able to hook up with somebody regularly when Al starts school. Probably the ones I can hook up with will have a different preference for exercising - not running or Body Sculpting.

Kat, sorry to hear about your burn. I'm awful for getting burned while cooking - usually bumping a hot dish or reacting instinctively to a spil and whacking my hand on the heating element in the oven. If it didn't have the potential for being such a serious injury, it'd be a joke around our house. MIL gave me an Ov-Glove made with Kevlar two years ago for Christmas, and I got another one on my own. Those have saved me a number of times... but a few days ago I grabbed a skillet too far down on the handle and hit metal for a burn on my right index finger! I need those gloves surgically implanted or something.

Add headbands to that "what's next" list! The more fashionable and less useful... the better. Remember those corny things?

Thanks, everyone. No, I'm fine and I just have a little stripe on my middle finger - looks like a sunburn line! My index and middle finger were burned, but only 1st degree. Today, they only hurt if I put under hot water. Last night I ran them under cold water a long time and then held them up against an icy drink I had after putting neosporin on them (it has that pain killer in it) and took 3 Tylenol. I was a whiney baby about it & didn't do my workout yesterday. But I did manage a 4 mile powerwalk today.

I did quite a bit of stuff this weekend - went to Target, Walmart, grocery store and bought cleaning supplies & food, detailed my dash & steering area in my car (leaving upholstery & carpets AFTER baseball season is over!), washed the outside of my car, did some house cleaning, laundry and shampooed my living/dining carpet. I'm worn out! Saw "Peter Pan" and "Girl With the Pearl Earring" but really didn't care for either movie that much. Peter Pan was ok, but it wasn't my favorite version. The kid actors were cute. The other movie was depressing.

Well, it's almost time to hit the hay.
