On Track Tuesday

Good morning! I loved reading the post about how everyone stays on track, so I gave us all a big thumbs up for our efforts.Really good thoughts in each post.I'm going to put to use Lori's journaling reminder. How come I know that works but forget it???Deb, is so right about not beating ourselves up.I read Shars once and thought how lucky she is not to have to struggle with the food aspect. Then I read it again and realized she had to work to get to that point.Very important point!

So are you on track and where you want to be this Tuesday? It's early in the week so if yesterday didn't go the way you hoped there is still lots of time to make this week count. To be very honest this is a tough week for me.I am struggling to find my motivation and my spirit.Lots of things going on around here; FIL is having some health problems and we're on hold trying to find out how that will play out.Chickens are dropping like flies and look lousy and the workload is so much more than the payoff will be.The extra weight sitting around my waist seems like it's take a life of it's own.Feels like I have no control over anything. But I keep reminding myself that I can control my eating and exercise and my attitude. It's a week where I am determined to keep my head above water and keep going.I can look back on Friday and say I made it or I can fold like a cheap table and climb into a bag of chips :)

Rhonda's post about the concert really had me thinking about music. What tune is going thru your head now?Is there any song that as sooon as you hear it , it lifts your spirits. My cd that I ordered off Amazon came yesterday.Listened to it during a walk as the sun was setting.Loved that!Do any of you hear the theme from Rocky playing when you finish a great workout?

Hope a totally awesome group of women have a totally awesome Tuesday!!!!

"Found a Cure" by Ashford & Simpson and "Shake Your Groove Thang" by Peaches & Herb usually get me moving....and don't forget Earth, Wind & Fire. And "Party Train"....

Hate disco, Booty? How could you?!!

I'm hoping to stay on track with workouts, although today I woke up in alot of pain (the usual AF tummy & head problems). Have to work tonight and will miss ds' game. They won last night & that was nice to be able to watch. DS hit one out to the fence again! Everyone thought it was out of the park - poor guy!

I took advantage of my night off by cooking up some spaghetti and also a shrimp teriyaki. We have plenty of food to eat this week.

The Carpenters tunes are running thru my head right now, "Superstar", "For All We Know", "We've Only Just Begun", etc. I feel like mush right now, so it's appropriate!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Great post Deb! If you only had two lemon cookies, then you did an admirable job! There's nothing wrong with a cookie or two once in awhile. It's the whole bag of cookies, or the ten or twelve cookies that does us in!!

I love your spirit today!

Loved "Dancin' in the Sheets" from Footloose, somgs from Against the Wall and Thriller in Michael Jackson's heyday, used to like "Old Time Rock n'Rock" until it got so overplayed, "Play that Funky Music" (Booty),

Patty, is the heat causing your chickens to drop? Really sorry to hear about that and hope things get better in CL soon. Also, hope your FIL improves. Thanks for your uplifting post this morning.

My SisterIL in CA decided to call at 2:21 this morning! Scared me to death, because I was afraid something was wrong with Dad. She's a "bit eccentric," had heard on the news about the tornadoes, and wanted to make sure we were OK (in Florida?). She wasn't going to keep me, but it was exactly 4:21 AM when we hung up. Needless to say, I'm a bit tired this morning/afternoon.

I am going to mow and get some trimming done in the yard. Need to make a run to Walmart and do some maintenance cleaning inside. Rob spent the night at a friend's house (Mr. Social Butterfly), so it's just the animals and I holding down the fort.

It's another hot, sunny day here. I'll be watering after 4 again. Hope everyone has good weather and a great day.

Feel better, Kat. I'm sorry you can't just loll about this evening instead of having to be on your feet at Dillards. Bad AF!

Thanks, Donna! Yeah, mean AF and Dillard's!!! They cramp (pun intended) my lifestyle tonight - ds is watching "LOTR Return of the King" on dvd & I can't watch it!!! Sniffle, sniffle!

Deb, chips are such a weakness for me.I can not stop at one!Last week I really noticed how often my hand just mindlessly goes in the bag.Haven't bought any this week....so far :)

That boss sounded like something else!!Glad you will have a good schedule to be with your family this summer.
