On Track Tuesday

Good morning! I loved reading the post about how everyone stays on track, so I gave us all a big thumbs up for our efforts.Really good thoughts in each post.I'm going to put to use Lori's journaling reminder. How come I know that works but forget it???Deb, is so right about not beating ourselves up.I read Shars once and thought how lucky she is not to have to struggle with the food aspect. Then I read it again and realized she had to work to get to that point.Very important point!

So are you on track and where you want to be this Tuesday? It's early in the week so if yesterday didn't go the way you hoped there is still lots of time to make this week count. To be very honest this is a tough week for me.I am struggling to find my motivation and my spirit.Lots of things going on around here; FIL is having some health problems and we're on hold trying to find out how that will play out.Chickens are dropping like flies and look lousy and the workload is so much more than the payoff will be.The extra weight sitting around my waist seems like it's take a life of it's own.Feels like I have no control over anything. But I keep reminding myself that I can control my eating and exercise and my attitude. It's a week where I am determined to keep my head above water and keep going.I can look back on Friday and say I made it or I can fold like a cheap table and climb into a bag of chips :)

Rhonda's post about the concert really had me thinking about music. What tune is going thru your head now?Is there any song that as sooon as you hear it , it lifts your spirits. My cd that I ordered off Amazon came yesterday.Listened to it during a walk as the sun was setting.Loved that!Do any of you hear the theme from Rocky playing when you finish a great workout?

Hope a totally awesome group of women have a totally awesome Tuesday!!!!

Chickens!!They're harder to figure than men!FIL has had chest pains and will be going to a hospital in another town for some tests.A few years back he had open heart surgery and even if it is needed that is not an option now.At 83 he is remarkable and still does alot.Given the nature of MILs health problems it will be difficult if he can't do the things he does now.SIL is 90 miles away and has been unable to work or come home for 6 month due to back problems.BIL lives with in laws but...., ok not going there. Hopefully the end of the week will bring good news. Thanks for the post.

I have a house of birds that just has us all stumped. They just don't want to eat.I had to laugh when the SG showed up yesterday and I asked what he thought. He looked so confused and said"they really don't look good, do they ?".I went thru today and told them nobody likes a skinny chicken so we'll see.FIL had some chest pain over the weekend and was admitted to hopsital. He's home now and will have some follow up tests Thursday. They told him that if there is a blockage he is not a candidate for surgery. It just makes me so sad to think he may have a problem and be told there is simply nothing more that can be done because of his age.I think that would be so much for him to have to deal with.At 83 he still mows the yard some and puts out a garden.Talked to him today and he's feeling pretty good so hopefully we'll get a good report on Thursday. Thanks for the post.

The heat is affecting two houses.Another house is just a mystery but I'm hopeful I can push them alittle harder the next few days as it cools off some.Sometimes you have to really work to get a bird to eat and this is one of those flocks though this is one of the more challenging ones.I say they need some 40 yr old estrogen, that'll stimulate the appetite and make the waistline grow!!!

Wow, what a time for a phone call!!I've been thinking about you today.FIL is having what appears to be heart problems. I think how you must feel wondering how your Dad is doing with his BP and all.I know your Dad is used to being active so this must be hard on him and all of you.The problem with DH's family is they don't talk much so nobody ever seems to know what's going on.I find it frustrating!!!My family on the other hand talks way too much!!!!LOL Where is the happy medium?

Your lunch yesterday sounded like fun.How wonderful for your friend that she could call you and know you would be there for her.
