Is this outrageous or what?

Yesterday, I had to get a TB shot as per volunteering at a hospital when out-of-the-blue the nurse asked me if I had children to which I said no and then she said, well you probably don’t donate blood EITHER. I was just so stunned that I find myself speechless and this doesn’t end yet. I brought in my 1998 medical record which shows I had a Measles shot which I did for a State College and that wasn’t good enough for her! She said I have no proof of childhood vaccinations and that I had 3 weeks to return with proof of immunization or I could not volunteer. It didn’t matter that I was scheduled to work with computers – not patients. Furthermore, she said the hospital would not pay for any shots needed. I am a U.S. citizen and remember all the school shots but I don’t have those kinds of records from the 1960’s – do any of you? It really concerns me about having too many antigens that may compromise my immune system. I am so upset…:^(

what a waste of skin that nurse was... be sure to let the director know that, regardless of their requirements, that nurse needs an attitude adjustment - or she's going to cost them volunteers...
