I'm curious about your Tuesday---what have you had to eat so far today?

Hi Deb,

All I've had so far today is 2 cups of coffee to get my jump started. But, I'm planning on making a broccoli, onion, cheddar omelette with Breakfree eggs as soon as I get off the computer. I'm starving!

Lunch will be salad with tuna, blue cheese, cucumbers and a few tamari almonds.

Dinner...no idea! But since it's overcast and cooler here today, I think I may roast a lemon herb chicken, and have some grilled veggies with it. I've got everything in house without having to go to the grocery store!

Hey there, busy morning with my bed making and house cleaning. Did my 2 mile walkaway tape and have had 3 bottles of water. I made myself a scrambled egg white with a slice of low fat Mozzarella cheese. This should tie me over until around 2 when I plan on having a salad with some turkey breast. Dinner, I have no clue yet. We had chicken last night, the boys will not be here and it will be just Katie and Bill. Plus Katie has riding tonight at 6 and I will be at WW from 4 to 5. I need to keep it simple, maybe some fish broiled with veggies.

Having a pretty good day. I forgot to post that my morning routine was interrupted by my dropping a nearly full 1/2 gallon of oj and having the edge split. OJ everywhere. Got to wash my floor before we left. I'm sure I missed a few spots - I'll know when I walk across the floor and stick. And I know I'm going to need to wipe down the cabinets better than I did. Ick.

Breakfast was McCann's steel-cut oats with almonds, cinammon, Craisins, vanilla SoySlender and ff half-and-half, one slice of Canadian and one of regular bacon (we ran out of both). Decaf on the way to work. No mid-morning snack - buckets of water, though, which probably doused any tummy rumblings. Right now I'm eating a salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar - no meat on it, but lots of mixed greens, spinach, red cabbage (love red cabbage!), garbanzo beans, tomatoes, cukes, some cheddar cheese, and some sunflower seeds. And I'm eating the croutons. Fresh pineapple and strawberries from the fruit salad section of the salad bar. Probably some almonds for an afternoon snack.

Dinner - Could be chicken, could be swordfish depending on the price. Cooked on the Foreman. Roasted veggies (asparagus, broccoli, red pepper, and sweet potatoes). There's brown rice from Sunday for DH if he'd like that.

Your eating sounds wonderful! You set a benchmark for all of us to try to attain.

I've had two hardboiled eggs and tea as I typed at the computer. Not very exciting. I may make a turkey on dark German whole grain bread sandwich and something to go with it for lunch. Think I'll roast a turkey breast, make some faux mashed potatoes, and a green veggie for dinner.

I like your dinner, especially since I won't have to cook it. I'll be right over....

One food I've never been able to embrace is hard-boiled eggs. Very strange, because I like eggs every other way, and I love egg salad and deviled eggs.

Had a bagel with cream cheese this morning, and for the picnic I'd made two eggs in the microwave and stuck 'em between 2 slices of bread with a slice of cheese, and an apple. As you can see, Atkins' advocates would probably be keeling over!

Tonight - tuna cakes, made with Italian bread crumbs, chopped green onion, pimentos and lemon peel; brown rice with green onion, and steamed carrots. Allison, btw, is a pretty good eater, and she wolfs down those tuna cakes right along with us.

"Your eating sounds wonderful".

Heehee - thank you, but you caught me on a really good day. It's amazing how quickly it can all go south. I have to do a lot of talking to myself in my head to stick with it; sometimes I listen to myself, sometimes not. Today, I'm listening. Tomorrow, well, my boyfriends Ben and Jerry are just a block away.....

Atkins advocates would have a field day with me, but I don't care! I had 2 slices toast for breakfast w/my cholesterol lowering spread & jelly ('cause today I didn't have time to do anything else), spaghetti w/Monjunis Salsa di Pomidoro, green salad and fruit for lunch, shrimp stir fry (teriyaki) tonight (mostly veggies & shrimp in it).

Breakfast

Blueberry Smoothie

Mid-day: Coffee, Toast w/marmalade

Lunch

Spring Vegetable Risotto, FatFree Vanilla Yogurt and a few Blackberries, Water

Dinner will be

Maryland Crab Cakes w/Lemon, Blue Cheese Waldorf Salad, Iced Tea

Usually love Tuesday but am a little unfocused and glad the pantry has only a couple of low-cal “goodies” and freezer has fudge-bars that are no sugar, no fat that amount to 1 WW Point. Otherwise, it could have been a hot fudge sundae meal day ;^) lol!
