Morning Lori!

Lots to do this morning here too. Work today, weather is yucky, again. I need to make beds, make lunches, and get ready for work, hair, and make-up all within an hour. Should be interesting...........so why am I here posting. A girl has to do what a girl has to do. LOL!

Need to plan my food for the day so I start me journel off to a good start. I has hoped for a 5 pound loss this month but I guess 3 is better then nothing. I probley would have done it if I had not allowed myself to get side tracked. I think I will pay Katie to motivate me this afternoon into doing my 2 mile tape when I get home. That is it for me, quiet night around here, which is good. I need to get to bed early as does this entire family.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning,

Wonky-I like that word. Weather is indeed yucky this AM and perhaps that's why I slept in this morning. So no workout this morning. Walk with Otto this evening will depend on the weather. I have laundry in the dryer probably fully wrinkled by this time, laundry on the top of the dryer waiting to be sorted and load to go in the washer, clean dishes in the dishwasher, dirty dishes in the sink so better get started before the paying job begins!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Good morning!

Except for the wonky weather, it's a good day. Didn't start off with a broken carton of oj and its aftermath, at least!

Tonight's my night off from working out, so I'm heading to Kohl's for some fun shopping after I pick up a prescription. I saw a cute pair of clog/slides in their flyer this weekend and I'm hoping they'll have them in my size (big) and color choice (beige - exciting, huh?). If they don't, I'll be visiting QVC on-line to see if a White Mountain style they resemble is available and reasonably priced.

Dinner last night was chicken; tonight it's the swordfish grilled, with a salad of grape tomatoes and sugar snap beans, with corn for DH. I might dip into the jar of tzatziki I bought at Costco for a treat. Either that or an itty-bitty ice-cream sandwich....

Workout last night was good. I did use the 10-lb dumbbells for my arm work - for one set. Had to use the 8-pounders for the other two sets. Boy, that 2-lb difference feels huge when you're actually exercising, rather than just moving them from one shelf to another! I had finished re-washing the floor and cabinets just before the workout, so maybe that had something to do with my arms feeling lead-like.

Got to get to work. The to-do pile is growing, and no one's extending the deadlines....

Have a good day, all! Don't wallow in the wonkiness...

Donna

Wonky is the word and my fellow Long Islanders agree with the weather we are having. I had to close all the windows because it got so chilly.

I am waiting for the "fence guy" to come and it has messed up my whole day. I planned to take a ballecore class and that is out the window. Then I thought I would walk after the fence guy gets here but the weather is iffy. Tried on 3 different pairs of shoes today to walk in and every one is aggravating the neuroma. I will not get down about it. It just might end up being a day off from exercise and just do some shopping if I can leave the workers here alone.

Your trip is coming closer Lori. Are you excited?? It is so nice to get to see family. I am trying to figure out how and when I can see my kids again.

Deb and Susan...hope you have a nice day at work. Don't let this wonky weather get to you.

Nancy...enjoy your day off from your paying job. I usually call it picking up the big pieces when I want to give the house a quick once over. Can't really get into anything waiting for the workmen.

Donna...good ub workout for you yesterday...scrubbing floors and weights. That 2 lb difference gets to me too...especially with going slowly. You also have such nice dinners. I think I might take out some tuna after reading about grilled fish. A trip to Costco is in order now. Oh..I ordered 2 pairs of Betula sandals from HSN yesterday. They had size 5s...yay!!! I hope I can wear them since everything else seems to be hurting my feet and cuts into my right foot when it starts to swell. I am going to try to stay away from QVC and HSN online today. But, those cute kids air beds are tempting. I can always use them for the grandkids.

Still waiting for the workmen that are supposed to be here between 8 and 10. Grrrr........

Funny you should mention Tzatziki sauce. After reading Anna's post about the grilled veggies and the sauce, it made me think of it. We have a place called Miami Subs where you can get it on your pita bread sandwiches or for your salad, and it is so good. I was thinking I need to make the recipe for it in the SBD cookbook.

Wonky, I like that.Just finished in the land of birds and heading out for a run.Another warm day here, with the sun in and out.Hope it stays out for my run.

I'm feeling like my hormones are just right today :) and that I can handle food, exercise, life and stuff.

Donna, you have me thinking about ordering a pair of Birenstock shoes. My sister has them and says they are so comfortable.I want to find a single strap pair. You also have me using my 10 pound weights more. Can you give me an idea of what kind of upper body exercises you do.Also would love to hear from you others.

Nancy, I eat Grapenuts for dinner sometimes and I consider it ok.It's not on some diets but I think that with a banana and skim milk is fine.I really find it helps on nights when I'm late and don't want something too heavy. Hmm, maybe I should put out a Chicken Farmer/Princess diet book.Yeah, right!

Hope everyone has a wonderfully wonky wednesday!

Finally got the lawn mowed and flowers planted, as I posted yesterday evening. It may have been good that I had to wait as hot as it was, but today I still need to edge, blow, etc. It's hot again, but that's OK with me. Just wish we'd get some rain before the weekend.

Rob spent the night at another friend's house. He comes home long enough to snack, get a change of clothes, and pick up his surfboard before he takes off again. I'm sure there'll be someone here tonight though. He has his last guitar lesson tonight. I'm kind of sad about that, but after 7 1/2 years and summer here, we thought it was time to take a break. We may go up from time-to-time or resume in the fall.

My niece, Lauren, called and told me that Claudea is doing much better!! All those prayers must have worked. She is gaining a little weight, her throat is no longer inflamed, and she's been able to keep food down. She's considering canceling the tests, so she doesn't have to put her through all that as long as she does well. I am so relieved and really appreciate all your prayers.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning all. It's going to be a busy day around here today. Ds has a field trip this morning, then home for lunch and back to school for a fun fair. I need to get my walk in today. I was planning on baking a cake for the cake walk but forgot about it until I was in bed last night. Whoops! Don't know if that will get done or not!

For anyone who is interested in Birkenstocks (Donna, Patty) I came across this store on eBay last night. What a selection they have and at pretty reasonable prices I think.

http://stores.ebay.com/Baumhouse

I love my Birkendorks. Got them for Christmas a couple of years ago. They are probably not the exact style I would have chosen, but they are so darn comfy. I wear handknit socks in them in the winter time instead of slippers. And when my feet get sore from other shoes, I just slip my Birkies on and they make everything all better! Highly recommend them!

Speaking of tzatziki, I love to use it as a dip for my roasted veggies! Yum, yum!

What's everyone got planned for meals today?

Shar
